About this cottage rental

Situated in Pocono Mountains, this lovely cottage for $150 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Hop through the front door of the White Rabbit Cottage and find yourself in a cozy bright space decorated in an eclectic style. There is room to scamper with a 1.5 acre wooded lot located on a quiet country cul de sac in the Southern Poconos. This 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 1200 square foot cottage has all the amenities of home. It is within 15 minutes of historic Jim Thorpe, Beltzville Lake, Blue Mountain Ski Resort and Penn's Peak Concert Venue. It accommodates hikers, kayakers, ski bunnies, loungers, bird watchers, cyclists, those who fish, white water rafters, and concert goers. Note that the cottage does not have air conditioning. It is shaded and on top of a mountain, with ceiling fans in every room. It is generally cool at night, but does get warm if there is several 90 degree days in a row. This free standing cottage will sleep up to six people, who can nestle in the ensuite master bedroom with a queen sized bed or two other bedrooms. One room has a full sized bed and the other has two singles that share a common bathroom. The living room has vaulted ceilings, a fireplace, and two sliding glass doors that lead to a large deck looking out on a wooded lot. Guests are invited to nibble on their own meals cooked in the fully equipped kitchen. The cottage is also outfitted with a flat screen tv, numerous streaming channels (although we do not have traditional cable), CD/DVD player and wifi. There is a long driveway, which will easily accommodate a boat, snowmobiles or other outdoor toys. All sheets, towels, and cooking/dinnerware are included. A two night minimum stay is required, and the cottage is non-smoking. Renters must be at least 25 years of age. Families are welcome. Was looking for a hiuse close to Blue Mountain b/c we were up to watch my son race. This house is only 15 mins from the mountain and checks all the boxes. It's clean, well stocked and comfortable. Was a perfect fit for our family for the weekend.

Perfect for us four brothers, plenty of room, great accommodations and the host was super available for communication. I really enjoyed how many out of doors activities there were nearby. We went mountain biking at Trexler Nature Preserve and had a blast! Would love to rent again!

Cozy rental on a quiet street. Easy check in, pretty much everything we needed was there. Each room has it's own thermostat, which was really nice. Would definitely stay here again. Didnt have to contact owner for anything

Met our expectations. Didnt have opportunity to use deck or fire pit but seemed ok. Lighting in living room was rather dim for our liking.Overall a great place for the money!

Wonderful property to stay at. Lots of room for four women, we all had our own beds and lots of space to hang out in. Would definately recommend this property. The only negative was that 2 nights just wasn't long enough for us!

I just got home from a weekend away with my dad and brother. This cabin was just perfect for us. We cooked a couple meals and got a couple good nights' sleep for our weekend away. We went to the nearby No 9 Coal Mine, had an excellent lunch at the Stone Row Pub (owned by the same people as own this cabin), and enjoyed a train ride in Jim Thorpe. At night we played board games out on the deck. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay. We wanted a restful few days and we got it. The beds were comfy, the back yard was beautiful and so fun for our kids to explore the woods. We enjoyed our playing at the downtown park in Palmerton and picking berries at the George Schmidt farm. We were not aware (maybe we missed it in the description?) that there was no AC and we were there when it was 85 degrees during the day. It was a little muggy in the home but we ran all the fans and managed. Overall great home with a well stocked kitchen and helpful hosts.

Comfortable home very roomy inside and fairly well stocked unfortunately host did not realize driveway is not motorcycle friendly with gravol and washed out area especially at entrance difficult to get over. Nature is not always helpful. As in Previous review lighting is dim despite large windows if I returned to area in a car would stay again as host was very helpful and pleasant

My group of friends and I enjoyed a nice weekend. The house is clean and conveniently located near Pocono White water and the town of Jim Thorpe. We have stayed here before 2 years ago and will stay there again on our next trip if it's available. I would recommend this house to anyone planning a visit to the Jim Thorpe area.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The cottage was clean and well taken care of and had all the amenities one would need. Charlie was very responsive. We‘ll book it again next time we visit the poconos. It was the perfect place to sleep in after a long day outdoors in the pocono mountains.

Easy check in process, communicative host, and clean accommodation for a reasonable price. Property is on a wooded lot about 150 feet from homes on either side but nothing going deep into woods out back. Well stocked kitchen, board games and access to streaming services.

This is a very nice little cottage. Not too far from anything you might need and quite near different activities a family might enjoy. Everything is on one level. Just wish there had been access to washer and dryer as we had a toddler with us.

We loved our stay in Palmerton, I know the area well since I grew up maybe 10 miles or so from here. We have little ones, a five year old girl and 18 month old boy. Everybody loved the house and we had plenty of room. It features a master bed with on suite and then two more bedrooms with full bath in between. TV is set up to play streaming channels which is pretty much what we use at home, my kids enjoyed watching their faves on Disney +. There are neighbors that you won’t see in this wooded property. If you are outside at night, you might hear the cicadas in the summer but overall, the home is very quiet. It’s country living in the woods, and that’s what we were looking for. The amenities are perfect for a stay for a few days. My wife said she’d stay again.

Our host Charlie S. was great to work with. I had missed that there was no central AC in the house. However he had installed a standing unit in the master bedroom and had purchased one fir the other bedroom which he allowed us to install ourselves and sent his maintenance man to check on us. The second day the first unit (a new one) quit working so he came and retrieved ut and brought us another new unit. I called him a minimum of 6 times and he answered every call immediately, both professionally and with politeness. He made certain we had a comfortable stay. Thanks for providing this service.

This was our second time staying in this property. The location is perfect for our family of three to indulge in all the outdoor activities we like-biking in Lehigh Gorge State Park, canoeing in Delaware Gap NP, hiking in any of the local state parks and some site seeing in Jim Thorpe. The kitchen is well stocked and a pleasure to cook in.
