[Now Using Enhanced Cleaning Practices Including Disinfectants] Escape to this 2 bedroom 1 bath getaway in the heart of the Big Bear Lake resort town. Enjoy being both 'off the beaten path' and central to year-round activities. Don't be fooled by the log exterior of this cozy home because the interior features a full kitchen and 'great room' feel not typically shared by traditional cabins. If the sledding hill on the property or the great sledding area behind the property is not enough, the house is within walking distance to the Six Flags run amusement/water park, as well as restaurants and antique shops. Go a little farther in one direction and you will be in the beautiful 'Village', the main hub of shops, brewery's, and restaurants. A little farther in the other direction and you can enjoy the scenic Boulder Bay area of the lake, a perfect place to rent kayaks and paddleboards, or just have a family picnic. This place features a romantic fireplace, a larger TV with bluray/DVD/cable functionality, as well as access to your Netflix, Vudu, and Amazon Prime accounts and a full kitchen with a cute dining area. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated with a king-size bed in the master bedroom, and a log bunk in the second bedroom that accommodates a full-size bed on the bottom and a twin up top as well as a Premium Luxury twin cot, just in case. There is also a huge front deck with patio furniture that can accommodate up to 6 people as well as a deck in the back complete with a Bistro set for those who would rather enjoy the wilder views of nature. For those who just can't get away, there is high-speed broadband internet access. All of this and a washer and dryer to get those ski outfits ready for another day on the slopes. So pack light, and please enjoy this place as much as we do! My grandson and his family loved the cabin! They were only there one night and wished they could have stayed longer. Worked out perfectly for 2 adults and 3 kids.

We stayed here with our one year old son and had a blast! Very family friendly, walking distance to several places and only a few minutes from the village or lake. Nighttime views from the front porch were amazing and the gate for the porch made it easy for us to all sit outside without our son running off to explore. Highly recommend!

We originally planned to stay at the cabin for 3 nights but due to excessive snow conditions ended up staying for 6. We loved the cabin, it was clean and cozy and perfect for our family of four. We were able to do some sledding on the property and there is fast tubing really close by. That was a little extreme for our youngest so we went to Big Bear Snow Play which wasn’t too far and had a great time. Big Bear Mountain Brewery is within walking distance even in a blizzard and they had games which was fun. The host was very responsive and accommodating. We would stay again!

My family and I enjoyed our stay. The location of the cabin was so close to everything and just the right size for our family of four. The only drawback and really couldn’t be helped was the noise from the construction of new property next to our rented area. The workers started at 6AM and worked after 5PM.

We just got back from snowy Big Bear. The location of this cabin was awesome! We had tons of snow and we were walking distance to the Alpine Glen Park where my young kids had a blast sledding. The house was a great size for a family of 4. The cabin had everything we needed and we will definitely be back!

Located on a dead-end street, this property was quiet, yet not isolated. There was a huge snowstorm the day after we arrived, and our street was plowed right away. That day the power went out, and our manager, Veronica, was kind enough to bring us a bundle of wood, even though she had several other properties to think of. (I do think that for the price we paid, the owner could have provided the first bundle of wood.) Owner had provided flash lights, but the batteries were almost dead.
The main bedroom has a king bed - wonderful - but only one bedside table, so only one person can read in bed! Also, there is a very oversized chair in the corner big enough for two people, which would be better placed in the living room, so that two people could sit in front of the fire.
The kitchen is well-equipped, and I especially liked all the fresh spices available to enhance flavors while cooking. The toaster is a challenge - it was nearly impossible to avoid burning the toast.
The bathroom is fine (I liked the towel warmer) but the shower head knob is broken, so water sprays upwards while shower is running.
Overall, the cabin was clean, and cozy. We saw a shed outside, and wondered whether it contained firewood, but we were not given the combination.
We were not familiar with the heat-sensitive lock on the front door, so fumbled a little upon our arrival. It would have been helpful to have an explanation at check-in. Also, it turns out that there are two Highland Lanes and a Highland Avenue. I looked up Highland Lane while in the office, and was told that was right, but it turned out to be on the opposite side of the lake. So we had to stop at a store to find the correct Highland Lane.

This place was great for us! Family of 3. It’s a two bedroom and one room has bunk bed. One thing that started off the trip a little frustrating was actually trouble finding it. We went to the wrong house that was 20 minutes away. The email does mention that goodlemaps has trouble with the address. Basically use road and not lane, even though the address is lane. The house is super clean and cozy. There was a fire on the tv when we walked in. Was a nice touch. Heater worked well and a little space heater in the bedroom too. The rooms get pretty cold at night.
We really happy with the location. The zoo and Alpine slopes right down the street. Would definitely stay here again.

This cabin was cozy and comfortable. The check in process was a bit clumsy as I hadn’t signed the extra contracts requested, I was traveling at the time of tge request and didn’t have printer access and forgot. The owner never rerequested and in some odd attempt to teach me a lesson never provided the access code. It was a little awkward because he clearly hadn’t forgotten he just didn’t do it. So despite me paying for this property in full he never reached out to say, “ I need this” he just let us struggle at check in. As a VRBO owner I found this to be a very aggressive way to deal with clients. Otherwise, the cabin was nice

I have rented places before where the photos were taken when the property was new and I get there and everything is old and run down. Not Nicholas and Silvia's place!! Their cabin was very well taken care of, updated and very clean. What a cute place. The street is off the main road and it was extremely quiet there my entire stay. Will consider this cabin in the future when I return to Big Bear.

A clean little cabin close to Boulder bay. Highly recommend having a margarita down at Azteca close by.We were given one washcloth and 2 hand towels for 4 people which was inconvenient. Plenty of bath towels tho. They need more mixing bowls and to replace the plates which were all chipped. Other than that, the cabin suited our needs for the weekend. The beds were comfortable and the cabin was clean. The outdoor deck was nice to have lunch on. Over all a good experience and We had a great weekend in big bear lake!
