Situated in Berkeley, this attractive house for $265 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Sunny two bedroom, one bath bungalow nestled on the Berkeley/Albany border in Thousand Oaks, one of Berkeley's most charming and vibrant neighbourhoods. The property is located in a quiet residential area, but it's just one block to a lively shopping district on Solano Avenue with cafes, restaurants, bakeries, trendy shops, pubs, and bookshops. Solano Ave also has grocery stores, CVS, a post offfice, several banks, and a gas station. Excellent ground transportation makes it easy to get around: buses to San Francisco, UC Berkeley, and the City Center are on Solano as well as buses to BART (the North Berkeley and El Cerrito Plaza BART stations are a pleasant 30-minute walk in either direction or a 7-8 minute drive). Highway 80 is easily accessible. Ideally situated--close but not too close to UC--the house is near enough to be convenient but far enough from the hustle and bustle of campus and downtown Berkeley. Whether you're seeing family and friends, visiting the university, or daytripping around San Francisco Bay this property makes a great home base. In addition, the home features: High-speed Wi-Fi, 45-inch Sony HDTV, Satellite Direct TV; large well-equipped kitchen; full-size washer and dryer; central heating. Owner lives in a separate unit on the property and is available to assist as needed.

What a great place to stay. The location is fantastic. Close to shops and restaurants and hiking. The home was really comfortable and clean. Robert left us a bottle of wine and coffee and chocolate when we arrived. That was such a nice touch. I will definitely stay here again when we are in town!

We really enjoyed our stay at Robert’s place. It’s located on a quiet tree-lined street in Albany, and had just the right amount of space for our family of 3. It was very clean and kitchen was well-appointed for cooking meals. Will definitely stay again

This is a very pleasant home in a delightful neighborhood. Owner was very responsive over e-mail. We were always able to find a parking space next to the house. Others have written plenty about the property, so I will focus on the location. We were traveling from Northern VA. Lyft XL from SFO cost about $100 plus tip. You could take the BART, but it would take about an hour and cost around $10 per person for one-way. House itself is about a 35 minute walk to the El Cerrito Plaza BART Station and about a 35 minute walk to the UC-Berkeley campus. Both are lovely walks through local neighborhoods -- we felt very safe. We rented a car from the Budget on Kitteridge Street in Berkeley and that was about a 35 minute walk, so very convenient. Solano Ave. has tons of shops and restaurants, which is great -- including a neighborhood Safeway and CVS. An Arco gas station was not far (about an 8 minute drive). Would highly recommend and would stay again.

Cute little home, could use an update and more comfortable furniture in the living room, but the beds were very comfortable, and it is a quiet neighborhood - very convenient. Owner very responsive to issues, particularly cleaning as the service did not do a very good job prior to our arrival.

We are a family of four who stayed here for four nights while visiting our family who live in Albany. It was quiet, clean, and very conveniently located. Communicating with the owner was very easy, we had no problems at all. I would stay here again next time we are visiting.

This house was perfect for us. Our children are in the Bay area and I've been looking for a place to stay. This is it. Lovely super clean stucco house in a quiet tree lined street near Salino where you can find anything you need. Beautiful feeling to the house, antique looking furniture, a brass bed! and a nice sized dining room. All the linen you need and a fully stocked kitchen. Robert the owner is on site and very responsive. Thank you Robert! My only suggestions are a hair dryer for the ladies and directions for the TV. Oh, there an amazing massage chair. I highly recommend this place - easy 5 stars.

We enjoyed this house very much. The place was very convenient and safe. Safeway is located in just 5 min walk. Basic kitchen stuff, linen, bath tissues were all provided.
