About this cottage rental
Situated in Pennsylvania, this charming cottage for $188 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. A 1950's restored cottage in the heart of Amish Country. Situated on a private 2 acre grass corner lot. This adorable cottage vacation getaway is located just south of Strasburg(10mins), in southern Lancaster county. Perfect for a couples or families & friends of 4 -5. Where you'll find comfort as you unwind and detach from your all your sightseeing. With breathtaking views from the front porch and beautiful sunrises from the back patio.You can gaze across the many acres of patchwork farmland . You"ll hear the clippety-clop when the buggies pass by or you may even catch the plows being drug by the workhorses making their designs in the fields. Just up the road you can purchase all the fruits of their labor at the amish fruit stand. The Cottage features 2 bedrooms, both with comfy beds to enjoy a restful nights sleep. 1 with a queen size bed with comfy mattress , and the other has 2 twin size beds. The eat in kitchen is fully stocked for all your needs. From the kitchen table you can take in the views from all the surrounding windows. Relax in the upstairs living room while taking in a movie or doing business on the free high speed wifi. A full bath is also located on the first floor just outside the bedrooms. If you want to relax in a nice bubble bath . Downstairs is a spacious game room with a big flatscreen TV, a sectional sofa that will seat the whole family. You'll find a large oak poker table, foosball table, and many games and videos. Connecting room in a separate area with a pool table/ ping pong, and just on the other side staircase is a washer and dryer for your use. There is so much to do in the area, you may have to come back several times to get it all in. There is an experience for all. We had a fabulous time. The house is wonderful and so beautifully decorated. We wanted to stay longer! The view from the backyard was gorgeous, and it was so nice to be a little off the beaten path, but within 10 minutes to many Amish must-do’s! We loved seeing the horse and buggies pass by the house. Julie was the best hostess. We will be back!

We enjoyed the location where we saw the Amish workin ,living day by day and going to church at a house in front of the cottage. Only complaint was the mattress in main bedroom. Needs to be firmer for two people

Very, very noisy road traffic, i.e. loud pickup trucks, dump trucks motorcycles from 5:30 til appx 9:30 in the morning and then much noise again in late afternoon and evening. This rental was not a peaceful and serene place to stay noise wise. Views beautiful, yes. Peaceful and relaxing no.

Well, maybe not the cabin itself but the area reminded my wife and I of how things were when we were young. The cabin itself had plenty of games in the basement (pool table, etc) as well as high speed internet. The only thing we didn't expect was that all of the outlets were two-prong. Left a couple of adapters that we used to be able to plug in laptop and tablet. What we really enjoyed was sitting out back at the firepit in the evenings with a glass of wine. There was an Amish farmer working the field one evening within a couple hundred yards of us, and we got to watch quite a few Amish horse and buggies go by. With Waze guiding us, this was a great jumping off point to explore the area, and the cottage itself was the perfect spot for us to relax in the evenings.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay, especially if you have teenagers. They loved the game room. Property is exactly as pictured; actually nicer because new living room furniture has been added. The views are incredible. If you want to be in the middle of Amish country this is the place for you. Our favorite part was sitting on the porch watching the neighboring Amish farmer working in the field and watching the horses and buggies go by.

We are so happy we made the choice to stay at the White Oak Cottage! We stayed 3 nights and wish we had stayed longer. The location was perfect. I am still in awe of the beautiful views from all the windows. We saw the sunrise twice over the horizon from the back yard. It was breathtaking. We also gazed at the stars in the evening while enjoying the firepit. The gameroom downstairs was an absolute hit wit the two teens. The home decor was as elegant in real life as it was in the pictures. The home had plenty of space. The homeowners were professional, polite and so attentive and timely in their response whenever we asked a question. It was so appreciated. White Oak Cottage without a doubt is now one of our favorite rental vacation homes. It was close to everything we wanted to explore in the Strasburg/Lancaster area. Can't wait to come back again! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It was a different area than we had ever stayed before and it was a little further away however it very nice. We enjoyed being around the Amish and watching them work. Rather nice being away from hustle and bustle

What a great getaway home! There is plenty of space to relax. We loved the family room area in the basement. We spent a lot of time on the patio as well. We were able to get some much needed R & R here. She has everything you can need in the house. The neighbor makes delicious food you can purchase. We would stay here again!

Lovely little cottage surrounded by stunning farmland! Listening to the clip clop of the horse and buggies driving by was delightful! Filled with amenities including comfortable beds, plenty of seating and entertainment choices. Great communication with owners. Wonderful stay!

Very lovely location. Enjoyed visiting the local area. It was a very enjoyable time. Only problem was we were not able to sit outside in the evening to star gaze due to the building in the lot next to us with a dusk to dawn light that trun on around 9 and had to close the blinds in the bedroom because of the light shining in the window.
