Nestled in Scarborough, this attractive cottage for $150 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Cozy and quiet describes this adorable cottage! One block from the beach and one block from the marsh makes this spot ideal for nature lovers. Convenient to Route 1 and not far from Old Orchard Beach, you choose the day's activity level. Two bedrooms, one with twin beds and one with a full bed, makes this cottage perfect for a family traveling with children or parents/grandparents. Open kitchen/dining/living area makes preparing meals/dining/relaxing conducive to conversation all at the same time! Privacy fencing and plantings all around the cottage and the yard creates an oasis of quiet and calm not usually found in this area. Keywords: cozy, family-friendly.

The owner of the property is very nice and helpful. The property was clean. Some things that were hard to work with were: the mattresses were very uncomfortable. The bathroom is very small and no countertop to hold stuff and that was difficult being there wasnt a space in the bedrooms to get ready with a mirror. The parking is awful! The driveway is so narrow, it is very hard to get in and out of your car ( our rental was a Ford Edge, so it wasn't that big, but we had almost no space due to the bushes on one side and the fence on the other side. There is only one love seat in the living room area to sit on, so if you have more than 2 people, this isnt the place for you. There is a papermill somewhere near this area, so the air smelled horrible. If you go to this area off season, Old Orchard Beach is a ghost town. We were mainly going to Portland and south to Kennebunkport, so we were ok. Again, I am not trying to be critical or mean, just practical. Vacations need to be a nice get away! without frustrations. If you can deal with everything I just mentioned, then this cute cottage will be fine for you. If not, I would look somewhere else. Our hotel we stayed in on our last night was so much more comfortable than the cottage. Just FYI

Karen is a top notch host. Towels provided were better than the ones I brought from home!! Cottage is spotless and has everything you might need. Only suggestion I have is bring some various size plastic containers or bags in case you have leftovers, salt & pepper. Location is close to Ken's for fabulous fried haddock and Lobster pound within 2 blocks. BEACH IS everything!!

We had a great week here. The cottage had board games, card games, camp chairs, and a fully stocked kitchen, including Keurig and drip coffeemakers! We had everything we needed for our small family of three.

Second time we rent this cute little cottage. All you need is included. A covered picnic area should be a must on warm rainy day. Interior walls need to be deep clean or a paint refresh. But either than that, we felt like home. Thans to share this little gem with us.

The cottage was very clean and had all the things you would need for a comfortable stay. It was located a short walk to the beach (we went almost every day). There is a Trolley stop a short walk to the corner that runs every hour and takes you to Old Orchard Beach. Cost is minimal. Plenty of restaurants with in easy distance from the cottage. The owners were very accessible if there was a problem and got it fixed fast....Our front door wasn't locking, we called it in and the next day it was fixed. Thank you for a wonderful experience. The only reason we did not try to rebook is we have a cottage booked on a lake for next year...

We have stayed in this property before and it continues to be the perfect place for a beach vacation. It is a close walk to the beach where you can find a quiet place to relax. It is close to Bailey’s Lobster pound where you can pre order your cooked lobster and enjoy them on the picnic table at your front door. It was very quiet in the cottage which has everything you need. And of course it was very clean.

Check-in was simple and set up so I could do it on my own schedule. The house was clean and well supplied with linens, handy kitchen appliances, and any cooking tool you will need. For rainy days, there were a couple of dozen DVDs, a couple of dozen games of every level of difficulty, and a few shelves of novels. There was an iron and board - handy for me because I was attending some graduation events. The beach was less than 5 minutes on foot, although there is a nearby public beach access parking area if you insist on carrying more stuff to the beach than you can walk with. If you want, you can walk to enough restaurants to satisfy most, but it takes almost 8 minutes to drive to a very good general grocery in nearby Old Orchard Beach. Room to park two cars. Each bedroom has a closet - the only negative I have about the otherwise wonderful experience is that these closets each has a dresser inside, making the hanging of clothes impractical. For most beach-goers this is not an issue because the dressers provide plenty of drawer space, but as I said I had some more dressy events. Fortunately both bedrooms and the bathroom have door-mounter clothes gadgets that hold five hangers each,
If you want to do more serious shopping, the mall near the airport is close at hand, or your can pop over to Saco/Biddeford in under 20 minutes.
Maybe the best part of the VRBO experience (my first ever) was how quickly the owners responded to any question I sent them, even where I simply failed to understand how the door lock worked. I will check with this owner first for any trips I make up to see the family from now on. Decently priced, conveniently located, well-managed - I’ll take it any day over a hotel, if you could find one this close to the beach for this weekly rate.

Rose Wind was delightful. Had everything we needed and was so close to a fairly quiet beach. We made that walk every day. And it was a short drive to Kennebunkport and Portland. We hated to leave.

Rose Wind was delightful. Had everything we needed and was so close to a fairly quiet beach. We made that walk every day. And it was a short drive to Kennebunkport and Portland. We hated to leave.

This little place couldn't be sweeter. We walked back and forth to the sandy beach, cooked local lobsters, and went to sleep to the sound of the waves. One of our favorite vrbos ever!

This little place couldn't be sweeter. We walked back and forth to the sandy beach, cooked local lobsters, and went to sleep to the sound of the waves. One of our favorite vrbos ever!

We had a great stay at the Rose Wind Cottage. It was a perfect location and little get away for our family!

There were lots of good restaurants within walking distance and the beach was nearby. We also enjoyed the huge marsh just outside of town where you can go canoeing.
A screen door for circulation and to keep the mosquitos out would help and air-conditioning would have been great when it got to 97 degrees! But, I think that doesn't happen often.
We managed to miss the garbage instructions on the refrigerator which were in small print. Garbage day is on Friday and we needed to have put the bins out at the road. A more prominent sign for that would be a good idea as the people before us missed that detail as well.

Beautiful, affordable cottage at Pine Point Beach! We had two wonderful weeks in Maine. Highpoints were morning coffee while watching the birds at the feeders, long beach walks before cooking breakfast in the fully stocked kitchen, relaxing on the beach and delicious dinners at local places that we could walk to. We did utilize the grill and lobster pot as well! The cottage has four beach chairs and a beach umbrella - bring your own beach towels. It is also stocked with books, games, puzzles and DVDs. There is a small market within walking distance for some items and they also have coffee, baked goods and deli sandwiches. There is a larger grocery store not far away on Route 1. We bought a styrofoam cooler for our afternoons at the beach. The only low point of our trip was leaving! It was an absolutely perfect vacation and we will be back!
