About this cottage rental
Nestled in Pennsylvania, this charming cottage for $150 per night is a great option for your next trip. PRIOR TO BOOKING, PLEASE TAKE CARE IN THOROUGHLY READING THROUGH THE LISTING INCLUDING THE HOUSE RULES SECTION, MAKING SURE TO CLICK ON THE "SHOW MORE" TO VIEW THE RULES IN THEIR ENTIRETY. Willow Lodge is a cozy three bedroom ranch style cottage located on one acre of land nestled by the edge of the woods on a working farm, Primrose Dale. While the farm itself along with activities related to running of the farm are not part of the rental, the rural and rustic ambience of Willow Lodge gives guests a taste of country living! Books, board games, playing cards, campfires, and wildlife sightings are the main forms of entertainment at Willow Lodge. A small working fireplace in the living room, available for use October through March, provides guests with a rustic, cozy atmosphere while taking the chill out of a cool autumn evening or cold winter's night. A picnic table and charcoal grill (charcoal not provided) is available behind the house with a beautiful view of the farm and picturesque South Mountains. Next to the picnic table is a inviting fire pit where guests may relax while enjoying an evening beverage, pleasant conversation or some quiet time....an especially welcoming feature after a long day of sightseeing or other area activities! Guests must supply their own firewood for the outdoor fire pit as well as the indoor fireplace as it is not included in the rental cost nor is it available in or around the property. Local grocery stores typically have small bundles of campfire wood available for purchase. Willow Lodge is fully furnished and has three bedrooms with four beds, two double and two single that sleeps up to the maximum occupancy of six (6) people. The cottage has two full baths with linens, dining area and country kitchen with stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, small crock pot, toaster, coffee maker, and all pots, pans, utensils and dishes needed to provide for all of your dining needs. A full size washer and dryer is also included right off the main dining area. Truly a place to "get away from it all", there is no television or WIFI available. However, access to the internet or your e-mail can be done easily with a smartphone utilizing 5G. A great location to call your "home base" while exploring all that the area has to offer, Willow Lodge is conveniently located only 11 miles from historic Gettysburg and the National Military Park, 45 miles from the well known "Chocolate Capital of the World" Hershey, Pa including the family fun "Hershey Park", Lancaster's Amish Country 70 miles, Ski Liberty and Ski Roundtop, 23 miles and 20 miles respectively. Country living at it's best can be found at Willow Lodge, providing you with an environment that will enable you to disconnect from technology and encourage you to re-connect once again with your family and friends as well as with nature itself!

My friends and I get together for an annual girls' trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage, which is surrounded by the beauty of nature. We were close enough to the action in Gettysburg, but far enough removed in our own secluded, peaceful location to really feel relaxed and refreshed after our weekend. Highly recommend!

Dated but clean. The main thing is the terrible driveway. My friend and I were on Touring motorcycles. Narrow gravel driveway. With grass in the middle. If you were not an experienced rider you could easily dump your bike!

I rented the Willow Lodge house for a girls weekend in Gettysburg. We were all impressed with how clean it was. It was a cold weekend in December and the house was nice and warm. It is close and convenient to Gettysburg. It is the perfect place to stay for a quiet weekend in the country. I would definitely suggest it for anyone wanting to explore Gettysburg and the surrounding area.

We enjoyed the rural location and being able to see the soybeans harvested! We have stayed in some great places with horrible beds. This is a good place with great beds! We are cooks and found the oven and cook top a bit challenging.

This is a very cute and comfortable farm cottage. Although the house is small, it feels roomy. Decor reminds me of staying at grandma's house when I was a kid. The location was very peaceful with beautiful views especially at sunset. About equal distance

This was our 3rd stay at Willow Lodge for our annual sisters getaway. Everything was great as usual. Beds were comfy (amazing sheets!) and we had most everything we needed. We had fun shopping in Mt Holly Springs and got some great ice cream at Apple Valley Creamery. Enjoyed time sitting at the fire pit! Very peaceful.

Was not told until the week before that they furnished nothing except linens and pots and pans. No paper good including toilet paper. We had to bring so much with us. There were a lot of rules that I have not found in other places. I felt the online listing should have included the list of what they do not furnish. Such as toilet paper, bath soap, dish soap, etc. the owners were very nice and did respond to a problem with the oven. Beautiful surroundings but house was a ,C+

Great clean cottage. Beautiful and relaxing surroundings. Easy trip into Gettysburg. Close enough we could come back eat and head back into town. 3 kids 12 and under didn’t even miss the tv. Very attentive and responsive properly owners. Will most likely stay again during are next trip to Gettysburg.

We had a great stay...lovely property and very quiet. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was adaquit. Great to have the washer and dryer. We were there to visit Shippensburg university and the Gettysburg, we also took in a play at Ellensburg playhouse.

Nice ride to Gettysburg nice country road. grill on the charcoal grill sit back and relax, watch mother nature owls wood pickers, all kinds of birds. deer in the field, fire in the firepit, and wait for the light show, fire bugs. what a show they put on after dark.
