Wonderful stay at Seaside and beyond.

We have always stayed along 30A, but never in Seaside. This location has spoiled us for all future stays. You can't beat the location of this home - just a couple minutes walk to the beach as well as a variety of food options and shopping.

Great home - a bit quirky in style but spacious rooms and wonderful location. Clean and well equipped. Great trip. Thank you for sharing your home.

Seaside is its own unique vacation. Property was exactly as represented. Busy due to Holiday week but as expected. The community always offers a lot to do for all age groups.

Had a wonderful stay here! The owners were very responsive and helpful!
This has to be one of the best locations in Seaside. Plus, they have thought of everything you could need: bikes, beach chairs and toys, boogie boards and floats.
This was a great place and we hope to stay here again!

The affordability of this home considering its location to the square was what had me book it. The listing (I believe) says it’s around 1,400 sq ft, it feels so much larger, even without the balcony and shutter room space. Will definitely book again. The ONLY odd thing is with the 3rd floor bathroom, you have to go through the shower to get to the toilet which is odd but not a big deal really (there’s 2 other bathrooms to use).
We have stayed in many a gulf front condominium and the walk to the beach from this home is faster which shocked me, and of course, the actual square is a 2 minute walk. You are literally in the heart of Seaside. And this house stands out from all the others. Beautiful architecture and colors. Loved it.

This was a great place to stay for our family vacation to Seaside! The house had so many different outdoor spaces to enjoy! We also enjoyed bike rides on the bikes that were available. Plenty of linens and towels were provided, too. And the location was perfect, a short walk to everything.

Had a fantastic stay in Seaside! The property is located conveniently to the beach and community. Enjoyed time with the family, whether cooking meals, lounging on the cozy couch with a good book, or sitting on the porch at sunset. Most definitely would stay here again!!!

Wonderful house in a great location! Close walk to beach and restaurants. Clean, owner was very accommodating and communicative. Will definitely stay there again!

Everything was perfect. Location was amazing. 100 steps to the beautiful blue water and white sand. 100 steps in other direction to shopping and many food choices. Dream vacation for kids and parents. 30a is worth the hype. We are already planning our return.

Outstanding home and location to the heart of seaside. Quiet street and neighbors. Would definitely stay again.

When we travel, location is our number one requirement. This house met all of our requirements. . We were steps away from the beach, pool, town, restaurants and food market. Seaside is the most beautiful area in 30A. This house was exactly as described - lovely, colorful, well stocked, perfect for our family of 6. Don’t hesitate to rent this house. It’s a true gem!

Rogers Lighthouse was the perfect beach home for my family. You absolutely cannot beat the location. Private beach access and a short walk to the square is hard to beat. The property manager and owner of the house were very responsive throughout the whole process. Highly recommend this place!

Great location. And that's it.Interesting house. Not sure why everyone keeps giving it 5 stars. READ the reviews. None of the bathrooms have ventilation or exhaust fans. In the third floor bathroom, you have to walk through the shower to get to the toilet. All windows in top bedroom are painted shut. First floor shower can be accessed through the laundry room so if you're in the bathroom you need to make sure the doors are closed on both sides. Twin beds on first floor which my husband and I used because I didn't want my kids down there alone. Wifi very weak. Tried to watch a movie in the cabana, but kept buffering. TV's are small and awkwardly placed. Bikes offered are old and rusty. We ended up renting them. Needs major updates. Everything is worn out. Door hinges rusty. Main concern was water intrusion causing mildew. Hardwood floors are black in places and need refinishing.. Nice location, but so are a lot of places. We visit Seaside a few times a year and will not stay here again. Yes, it's unique and won awards thirty years ago, but need to invest some money in the upkeep.

We had a wonderful time at Rogers Lighthouse! So much character and such a great location! Just steps to the beach, a playground and of course the town of Seaside!

Definitely one of the best locations in Seaside!! Close to the beach and all the fun shops and restaurants. The property manager, owner and maintenance gentleman were great to work with! The house is very clean. It is a quirky house, lots of different paint colors etc. - perfect for a beach house / week rental. It does smell damp which isn’t super awesome and I had to rewash every single item of clothing once back home. The upstairs bathroom / bedroom are combined in one room. There is zero privacy and you have to walk through the shower to use the toilet. This wasn’t awesome either. Overall though, we were happy and enjoyed our stay!

Close to the beach and the central Seaside shops and restaurants, also quite close to fitness center and two of the three pools, well stocked home and smooth check-in and check-out process -- no major issues at all

Roger’s Lighthouse represents the best of the dreams promised by the unique community of Seaside comfortable, casual beach luxury in a home that promise relaxation with an eye on adventure Roger’s has the perfect location for a stay on 30 A. The homeowner is available for questions and suggestions and has embodied the growth of this most unique new urban community. One wakes to the symphony of waves and sunshine. The day begins another adventure. Or a simple day at the sand and sea

The location cannot be better. 1/2 block off 30A (plus another 50 feet to the beach from 30A) and 3/4 block to "downtown" Seaside. The house itself is older, hasn't been updated and has a fairly quirkly layout. The living is large with lots of windows, but not very good for TV watching. The kitchen is small and really needs updating. The separate dining room seats 6 plus has an extensive reading bench. There are 3 bedrooms - 1 on first floor, 1 on second floor, 1 on third floor - each bedroom has its own bathroom. One rather annoying feature is there is no separate guest bath - so you have to go through a bedroom to get to any bathroom. 2 of the 3 bathroom are very quirky. The 1st floor bath room has a shower with a shower curtain on 2 sides - 1 side opens to the bath and the bedroom, but the other side opens the shower to the laundry room and a door to the kitchen and outside. So you could access this bathroom from the kitchen but only if you go THROUGH the shower. It's weird. More weird is the 3rd floor bathroom that is completely open to the bedroom. The toilet has a half door that doesn't go to either the floor or the ceiling and your knees hit the door when you sit down. So essentially you have NO privacy in in this bathroom. There is also kind of no door to this bedroom.
The house seems to be really well designed for open doors and windows and great weather. There is a large outdoor room on the second floor (the shutter room) that would be great in great weather.
For us the perfect location was more important than the quirky house layout and lack of privacy, but the owner could invest a bit in renovations and updates that would make the house a real winner.

We stayed in this property on what turned out to be the coldest few days in Seaside in recent memory (Christmas 2022). Prior to our arrival the owner was diligent about installing extra space heaters to ensure our comfort. The house itself is as advertised. Tremendous location only a few minute walk from both the beach and Seaside town center. The only small negative was that the beds were not the most comfortable, but in the grand scheme of things that was an incredibly minor nit. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at this house and would book again when returning to Seaside.

We loved how close this house is to beach and seaside. We also loved the unique architecture of the house and enjoyed all the levels and all the decks. The house had everything we needed and was clean and brightly colored. The couches were comfortable as well as the beds. The only critique was that the bikes may need some updating, although we did ride them and they were functional. The response to questions was quick and the host was very helpful! Highly recommend!

This house is very cool and in the perfect location! Steps to everything- Beach private access, Mimosa’s, restaurants/bars, everything & it is on a beautiful quiet street with other gorgeous houses.
The house is laid out a little funky, but gives it good character! It is older and could use some upgrades- especially the hardwood floors. They are really worn and dirty looking. The beds could be a little better- but being at the beach is so great that we don’t really care that much!
The top of this place has gorgeous views of the sunrise and night sky. We spent mornings up there and evenings too. The seating up there could be nicer and more comfortable for sure.
The extra room with shutters all around was great for the teens to hang in at night. They played poker and watched baseball/football - perfect since it is separate from the house, but it is not air condition or heated (which is fine) but just can’t be in there during day in summer months. Also, the outdoor furniture in that room is good, but the “bar” really needed to be updated and cleaned better before guests.
Owner was so nice and helpful and responded right away to a question I had! Helped immediately!
Overall, this place is really cool. We would stay again for sure. Just suggest it be cleaned a little more and if floors being replaced not a financial option, then to somehow refinish or clean them better.
We had a wonderful time in your cool beach home!

My self, my husband and my 17 year old son stayed here the first week of October.
The location is EXCELLENT. Literally maybe two blocks from the Seaside Town Center.
The four bikes are older but functional with actually super comfy seats.
The rooftop, mid level deck and shutter room, and front deck are just lovely spaces to hang out in.
The tv in the shutter room was easy to work, the tv in the living room, not so much.
We watched the UGA game in the shutter room which was pretty epic.
We napped outside on the mid level deck one day and it was glorious.
The property has its idiosyncrasies such as that it’s been renovated but in a piece mill sort of way, but you get used to that quickly.
A few things to definitely note:
The beds are little. I mean, it says it in the listing, but my husband and I opted to sleep in different bedrooms due to size of beds. The mattresses and pillows themselves are very comfortable.
The 3rd floor bedroom’s shower is….awkward and small. It’s like an old school where the shower curtain surrounds you on all sides and I hate the curtain touching me, so we opted to share the 2nd level bathroom.
The WiFi unfortunately only really reaches the first level, so you better hope your cell service is good on the second and third levels.
The 3rd floor bedroom features windows on three sides and it’s own dedicated AC unit and it was such a vibe.
Check out instructions were not too involved which we appreciated.
The walk to the beach was super short, easy access, with a really beautiful pavilion to watch the sunset from.
This particular section of beach is also not overcrowded and the water is CLEAR and beautiful blue.
We found we did not need access to the pool so I am glad that is not included in the price.
Roger, the owner, was communicative, kind, reasonable, helpful and friendly.
Apparently, the home was featured in international architectural and design magazines in 1992 or so for the shutter room and those are hanging up in the staircase which was really cool to see!

Perfect walkability. We enjoyed the house for a week with family, and the close proximity to everything was ideal for our 13 month old. The outdoor space is great, and the view of the sunrise is beautiful. Only downfall is the pool isn’t near the beach and is about a half mile walk if not more from the house, so I would probably skip the pool passes if we stayed here again.

Wonderful beach house !

I absolutely love this house, it's got a great layout, awesome grill, decent kitchen and it's a short walk to the beach and town center. The ONLY downside was the beds. And that's a dealbreaker for me. Every bed was horrible. There were five of us, ranging in age from 18-53 and no one slept well. I would have to guess that the mattresses are the original ones, it was that bad. My neck and back are still a mess and it's been a month! However, the rest of the house was so awesome, I would book again if I had proof they got new mattresses.

Not the fanciest house in Seaside but, you can’t beat the price for being four houses from the beach and backs up to the Black Bear Bread Co. The house had everything we needed and has four bikes . There is a great viewing deck to watch the sunrise and sunset

Blast from the Past
Our second time at Roger's Lighthouse with our now grown adult children. Wonderful eclectic property convenient to the beach and town center.

Classic Seaside Home
Roger's Lighthouse felt like the most representative classic Seaside beach home. The atmosphere of the house constantly reminds you that you are at the beach. The house is quite literally steps from the square and the beach entrance which was incredible for our family with two small children.
It is a little dated but that adds to the charm. This was easily our favorite home we have stayed in while visiting Seaside and would recommend it on a dime. The only reason the property received 4 stars is because during a rainstorm there was a fairly significant leak that we notified the owner of in the stairwell and the exterior doors take a lot of effort to deadbolt.
Overall though we would stay here again in a heartbeat and loved our visit.

Prime Place to Stay
Roger's Lighthouse was a charming place to stay. It had everything needed for comfort and relaxation and being prompt to respond if we had any questions. My cousin and I LOVED staying here... and we'd do it again.

We didn’t end up staying
We started off great. Our flight was coming in early and the owner allowed us to check in early which was very kind. Upon arrival, everything was good. Layout is a bit funky and there are several things that could definitely use some updates, but location couldn’t be better so we were happy. On the third day it started raining and we noticed a leak. We wanted to treat the house like we would want ours treated so we notified the owners and cleaned up the water from the floors, table, etc. The next day the breaker went out on the second floor so we notified the property manager about that. She told us where the breaker was so we fixed it and it was all good. She said she would have someone come out, but I told her that it was fixed and that we were all good. Later that afternoon, we were sitting on the front porch while it was raining and a man shows up completely wasted, cussing in front of our children and told us that Roger sent him to “fix this sh*t”. He went into house and continued to cuss, tell us unprofessional stories about the owners, etc. my husband has to ask him to watch his language in front of our kids multiple times. As soon as he left, I asked the owner not to have him come back while we were there and explained the situation. The owner told us that he was “basically a good guy but that he does drink too much and he has talked to him about that”. He told us he would not let him come back. A few hours later, he comes back , walks up the exterior staircase to the second floor, walks back down and leaves a bottle of wine with a note stabbed through it saying that he didn’t appreciate us telling Roger that he showed up drunk, that he was a bad a$$ and that we should pray that he was hired again. I notified the owner about the situation and he never responded. About 5 hours later, I let him know that we found a hotel to stay at and that we would like our money refunded for our last night. He finally responded saying that he would refund us for the night. The location is great, but I would never recommend for anyone to stay here after what we went through.

A group of 5 of us stayed here for 5 days for our first trip to Seaside. The proximity to everything the town has to offer including beach access, shops, and restaurants was exactly what we were looking for. You are literally no more than a 5-10 minute walk from everything. The outdoor spaces on all 3 levels of the house allowed for both shaded and unshaded lounging. The one downside of the 3rd floor crows nest view is it can only be accessed from the master bedroom. The 2nd floor and 1st floor beds could have been a bit comfier but served their purpose. The 2nd floor shower also had a small leak down into the 1st floor bedroom. Just a couple of small tweaks to fix these issues could have made for a better lodging experience but did not take away from the fantastic trip we had.

The property was clean and accommodated our group nicely. I would recommend adding labels to the electrical switches to indicate what each one operated as there are many. I would also like to see a functioning barbeque grill available. There was only the owner's meat smoker which was a disappointment for us.

Whimsical home in the heart of seaside
From ease of check in to check out , we had a lovely stay. 100 steps from beach gate and one block to main town square, ideal location. House was decorated and laid out in a unique way colorful and open.
I would only have the home improve on getting new mattresses.
It’s, fun to stay in a house totally different from our own.
Great find !!
