About this cottage rental
Come and enjoy this studio cottage on one of the top ranked steelhead holes on the Upper Rogue. Excellent Fishing just steps from your door! Also makes a great romantic get-a-way or a fun place to stay while you raft the Rogue. Cottage sleeps 2-4. Kitchenette and Bath, Gas Fireplace, Flat Screen TV, Internet, Outdoor Sitting Area with Chiminea Fireplace. Full bed in living area and full bed in sleeping loft. Wood floors and granite countertops. Table and chairs, microwave, mini fridge, stove and oven, dishes and cookware furnished as well as coffee pot, toaster, kitchen utensils and linens furnished. You will also find a nice selection of gourmet coffees and teas along with creamer in the cupboard above the coffee pot. Flour, cornmeal and spices are provided for your cooking needs. You will find two plush robes hanging in the closet for your use. Sliding glass doors lead to the river front, small patio deck with table and chairs and grassy area. Gas BBQ for outdoor cooking. There is also a Fish Cleaning Station and Outdoor Shower. Deer, Geese and Eagles are frequent visitors.

We had 4 total, 2 teenage boys (19 and 16), they had no problem sleeping in the loft bed, actually enjoyed it. Thise was a great location to visit Crater Lake NP. The Rogue River right outside the door made for perfect evening and morning meals. We ordered take out and ate out on the patio with the river running by in the background, perfect natures TV. The hosts were great and let us use some fishing gear, very helpful and wonderful generous with their time and things to do! Thank you!

Lovely cabin in a great location. Fully stocked with all the essentials made for a great and easy overnight stay. Wish we could have spent more time enjoying the river and outdoor areas would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful stay in this beautifully decorated and tidy cottage. The grounds are well maintained. The river is steps from the cottage. Another plus: Crater Lake is close by too!

The cabin is absolutely perfect and the hosts have anticipate your every need! The river was right outside the door and the cabin is private and relaxing. Highly recommend!!

My 82 yr old mother and I had a lovely visit! The weather held out and we visited the Natural Bridge, Rogue Gorge and Crater Lake. I hope to come back and bring my family of 4 and go fishing!!! Thank you for sharing your slice of paradise with us!

Great Space
We were greeted by our hosts on arrival. They showed us around the property and made us feel at home. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit with Lana and Lonny and would love to meet them again some day. The cottage was immaculate, clean and well equipped. The bed was cozy and we had everything we needed. The AC unit provided the coolness to get a good nights sleep and the breeze from the shady garden was wonderful. We visited in August, the weather was hot and the smoke from the summer fires was thick. Even with the heat and smoke, we sat on the river bank in the comfortable chairs and fell asleep twice. The location is close to the small town of Shady Cove where rafting and fishing are popular attractions. Some local delis offered picnic lunches to take along on your days adventure. This is a perfect location for visiting Crater Lake National Park. Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us.

Each night we BBQ'd and enjoyed dinner at sunset on the deck listening to the sounds of the river. I enjoyed my morning coffee peacefully sitting out there too. The outdoor sitting areas really made this a fantastic place for our Southern Oregon vacation. But inside is gorgeous, pristine and Lana has tended to every detail. Very clean, good use of space. Hardwood floors and vaulted ceiling with a ceiling fan. We were there in the summer, and didn't need to use the A/C unit. Left the sliding door open overnight once, and actually I don't think we ever locked the door! We felt very safe and taken care of. Kitchen is fully stocked with basics and Lana even left us a fruit basket which we enjoyed during our hikes. We stayed here with our sons who are 16 and 20. It was sufficient for us because of the outdoor spaces. Highly recommend. If we ever come back to the area, we would definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay, even if you don't fish! House was clean and well stocked with a wonderful host. Definitely coming back!

My two kids and I had a wonderful time on our stay. We were able to fish from the house and also paddle the Rogue and take out right at the house. Everything we needed was there and our hosts were very accommodating. A unique property that I hope we make it back to again.

Lonnie and Lana hooked us up with places to see and the fishing is great from the property. You will NOT find better hosts than the Lee's. They are very friendly and are willing to do just about anything to make your trip as enjoyable as possible. The place is a studio and is pretty cool, but the property is the jewel ( the outside shower is pretty awesome, too) Don't know if it was Shady Cove or just Lonnie and Lana but we can't wait to go back!!

Best friends reunite!
Shady Cove was the half way point for my best friend and I to meet after not seeing each other for a year and a half! I found this cute little cabin on Home Away (now VRBO). It’s right on the Rogue River which provided a very relaxing atmosphere! The cabin was very clean and well appointed, it had everything we needed. Our hosts were very gracious! I would definitely use this cabin again!!

River Front Oasis
I absolutely loved staying at the little cottage by the river! It was adorable and had all the comforts of home. Even though it is close to the main house, it is very private. Can’t wait to come back!!!

Spent two nights- fishing the river was awesome
Great little place to spend a couple of nights. Loved the chance I got to spend fishing. Manager helped with what I needed to fish on the property and went downtown to gear up and stood on the bank most of the day. What a pleasure! We would love to go back and spend a few nights. The place had everything we needed to bbq a couple of steaks and sit outside and enjoy the river and sitting out with a cup of coffee in the morning watching the geese and ducks in the river. Small, but it had all we needed for the pleasurable stay.

Oregon dream trip
This is amazing. Lonny and Lana are such a pleasure to meet and visit with. The cottage is without a doubt one of the best we have ever stayed in. Everything inside and the surrounding yard are so well maintained and decorated we truly had to drag ourselves away. Sitting by the river watching it roll and the deer water were giant pluses. I cannot imagine anyone not l9ving this place. Thank you so much for sharing with us

Just as wonderful as described!
Lana and Lonny were great hosts! The little cabin had everything a guest could possibly need and then some! The fresh flowers were a pleasant surprise! We truely enjoyed our visit and your hospitality! When we come back we will definitely look you up again!

My favorite in a wonderful place
This is the first time I have lived in such a wonderful place. I really liked this quiet and natural place with a river nearby. The cottages and gardens are in good condition, making this trip richer. The location allows easy access to Crater Lake National Park. The owner is very grateful for the kindly welcomed our family who cannot speak English well. I strongly wanted to visit this place again. I hope I can meet Lana and Lonny again. Thank you very much.

Pleasant little city of Shady Cove stay!
Lana was the best host ever! The cottage was such a special surprise! We loved it more than we expected! My husband and I were going to Crater Lake while staying there. We fell to n love with the river immediately and the cool landscaping they have done to the place. We loved the outdoor shower and sitting by the river for our coffee in the morning and evening drinks. So serene! Great little place and Lana pays attention to detail. She had fresh flowers when we arrived and a basket with fruit and power bars! Great coffee and tea selections too! The place is amazing and very clean. She is so good with ideas of where to eat and trails to hike. We loved our visit to Shady Cove so much that I had to stop to get a mug from the gift shop in town. Loved every minute! We hope to go
Back in the future it’s such a great city to visit. The river speaks to fisherman, rafters and floaters! A great place to vacation! Thanks you Lana for all your help in making our stay so special!

Wedding Night Cottage
I rented this for 2 nights for my grandkids after their wedding and before they headed to the coast. They loved it!! I have rented this cottage before and I am never disappointed.
