We had an amazing weekend !
it was very cold outside, but the cabin worked perfectly for the weekend, reading in front of the fireplace. It was the perfect spot to relax and reconnect.
The host was great too. She even left a birthday card for my husband ! So thoughtful.

We loved our stay at the little cabin in the woods. There were three comfy bedrooms and everything needed for a quiet, private getaway. I highly recommend staying here. The host was responsive and helpful. I'll definitely be staying again.

This was just the break we needed from daily life. Beautiful area and property. Unique cabin that was easy to be in. We’ll be back!

Very cozy cabin, it was only the two of us but it would have fit even more with the three bedrooms. I loved going out onto the deck in the mornings and looking out into the forest. We saw bluebirds and cardinals all over the yard. The cabin was very clean and there was a bottle of wine waiting for us. She really knows how to make guests comfortable. Will be going back.

This was a perfect little escape from reality. A place to "unplug" and enjoy the beauty of nature. Rustic but includes all necessities. Private, comfortable and cozy. The only recommendation we have is to hang a curtain in the doorway of the half bedroom for privacy. Loved the family time we shared here!

Rain on a tin roof, train whistle in the distance, pumpkins carved, toasty fire burning, listening to Legend of Sleepy Hollow, does Halloween get any better?
We had a great time. 2 days of hiking - Spy Rock is a worthwhile climb but is a challenge. Definitely check out Mt. Grace, the place has a very special energy and is great for meditation and sunset watching. The walk down at twilight is safe enough just watch for your turns. Chessie trail is a fun, flat level walk. The dog had a blast with all the space. Then two days of laziness, pumpkin carving and listening to/watching the rain. A totally refreshing, energizing place. You DO need to be ok with darkness as it does get VERY dark, there are no street lights etc. Great for star gazing, we saw many constellations even without the aid of my telescope. The quiet was amazing. (We were a little surprised by a military jet flying about but it didn't stay long.)
The cabin is the way it looks in the pictures. But keep in mind that it is a country cabin, if you're looking for 4 star amenities this isn't the place. It has all the necessities, but is rustic. It could use a little maintenance and TLC but overall was cozy and comfortable. We brought our food and had everything we needed for simple meals. The only time we left was to buy pumpkins and hike. Communication with Antonia and the staff was wonderful. They made sure we had extra wood and answered all my crazy questions. The staff leaves you alone, we only saw one person preparing a cabin one day.
I can't say enough good things about this cabin. We kept saying how much the cabin reminded us of a favorite uncle's place. We're already talking about returning next year.

Our overall stay was excellent, finding the property was an adventure in itself as we encountered several deer. The amenities were excellent with the exception of lack of advertised WiFi, We were impressed with the other amenities including a/c and satellite tv in a remote cabin. The isolation and quietness was amazing which promoted some much needed rest and looking out the kitchen window at a family of wild Turkeys was incredible. Each trip out and in to the property we saw numerous deer! The view from the cabin is a little diminished due to full summer foilage-but the hike up to Mt Grace for the view was great. Overall we thouroughly enjoyed our stay under the stars. Even our dog Dee Dee loved the cabin. Thank you, Mark, Lynn, and Josh and Dee Dee

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the DeHart cabin. We loved feeling secluded but being close to downtown Lexington and we enjoyed the hike to the State of Grace hilltop. The cabin was well-equipped with everything we needed and we found the beds to be very comfortable. We hope to return again another time!

Beautiful property, comfortable beds and furniture, wood-burning fireplace was a huge plus. There are some VERY low beams in the cabin and the front doorway is also very short - apparently people were smaller in the 1860s!!! Perhaps some padding on the low, dark wood beams would lessen the blows to the head that occurred on our stay, and likely on many other stays over the past 150 years. 8^) We would definitely consider staying here again!!!

Our stay at the cabin was better than expected, the pictures don’t do it justice. Very cozy and authentic feeling. So many stars at night on a beautiful property and a wonderful view and hike to the top of the mountain . It was also nice seeing deer every time we went up and down the drive way . Would definitely recommend for a peaceful getaway!
