With two weeks passing since alerting management, several attempts for some response and an amicable resolution with Guest Services and management have fallen on deaf ears, hence poor review 1-Basement, Laundry Room and Bathroom -damp and mildew smell, no dehumidifier -Extension cord running entire width of family room for a fan in laundry room. Safety hazard in an already damp basement -Laundry room linoleum curled up around drain, walls, under utility sink -Fan cooling laundry room -water conditioner is leaking mat serves as receptacle for drainage -Basement Bathroom shower curtain liner was mildewed, ripped. At our expense purchased new liner -Dryer is vented into bathroom through exhaust fan 2-Second Floor-Living Room, Kitchen and Bathroom -Sofa end table clearly not dusted for quite a few weeks -All Ceiling Fans had cobwebs and weeks’ worth of accumulated dust. Kitchen fan was worst -Kitchen stove after oven door handle fell off. -2nd floor bathroom smelled of urine and floor was dirty and dusty. There was no mop, used flip flop and disinfect spray I brought with 3 cleaning attempts failed to rid urine smell Kitchen-oven door handle fell off followed by oven door coming apart separating metal and glass. Had to "tape" door onto front of stove 3-Dock is safety hazard. Cinder block to “step” onto before reaching dock. Worn AstroTurf carpet with mold and slim. Granddaughter fell and came within inches of hitting back of her head

I was disappointed in the house we stayed. 2 of the bedrooms really weren't up to code as they had no windows. There was some sort of leak in the basement where 8 people are supposed to sleep. It smelled wet, musty and very stinky (cat?). We found a dehumidifier and it helped but keeping an eye on that was a pain. When i called to complain, they brought damprid and a can of fabreeze.

I liked that this property had a lot of the 'big ticket' stuff covered within - plenty of bedrooms, great HVAC, and a ton of smart TVs with reliable wifi. That all was very nice and appreciated. However, there were problems that were nuisances to our weekend. The bathrooms had no hand soap, there were no paper towels or trash bags, and we were only given 1 dishwasher tablet...so basically, we were forced to go shopping of supplies I assumed would be essential to the rental property. We also only got 3 rolls of toilet paper, 1 for each bathroom, for 3 days and 10 people. That was another unexpected purchase we had to make. Lastly, as other reviews have mentioned, the angle of the steep driveway is awful. Of the 6 vehicles that used the driveway, 5 bottomed out and scraped while exiting. I'm not sure if anything can be done to improve that but if you drive a low car or even suv, you WILL scrape, guaranteed.

DO NOT RENT THIS HOUSE IN WINTER unless you have both 4wd AND about 50-60 lbs of de-icing salt on hand. Have never seen such a steep driveway, & it was coated in about 1" of ice under an inch of fresh snow. House had been cleaned after last renter but probably left empty for some weeks. Runoff from parking area pours straight down driveway; it had frozen & snow had fallen on top. Even w/small SUV & 4wd, military driving training, 3 years of living in Moscow (Russia), & four decades of experience driving on mountain roads in winter in WV, when I tried the driveway I got almost to the top, lost traction, & slid back out into the road (fortunately no traffic, & I got traction & cut the wheel before we shot over the other bank & into the lake). Steps to entrance & deck were also coated in thick ice w/snow on top. Maybe it was a foolish assumption on my part that Taylor-Made Vacations would check the property & clear serious safety hazards before guest arrival? Leaving my 85yo mother alone in the car at the bottom of the driveway, I made my way to the house & found one 11lb jug of de-icing compound. Started to try to scatter it, fell, hit my head on the driveway, & slid the remaining 10' down the hill to my car. Called the property management number. They quickly sent out a maintenance man who put down another 30lbs of de-icing compound. He got his pickup up the bank safely, came back down, picked my mother up physically & put her in his truck, drove her up, & then came back to drive my car up to the parking area. Because the outer steps were unusable for an 85yo with limited mobility, we. brought her in through the basement door. After she had a little cry—the slide out into the road had terrified her—I was able to get her up the steeper, less safe interior stairs from the basement to the main floor. The next morning I called to ask for someone to finish clearing the driveway, parking area, and exterior stairs before more family arrived. No one came. I inched down the driveway, went to Ace, bought 30 more lbs of de-icing compound, & spent a few hours of the 1st day of my vacation clearing ice off the driveway, parking, and stairs myself. The rental contract absolves Taylor-Made of any liability for your person or property due to accidents on steep driveways or access areas around the house. Fortunately, I have a hard head. Other than that, the house was in excellent condition & was perfect for our family get-together at Thanksgiving.

Pretty nice. Kitchen was well stocked. Kids loved the water & the dock. A ladder would have been nice. The trail to the dock was a bit rugged. We all had fun and that's what counts.

The path to the dock was treacherous, no hot water in upstairs bathroom and the bathroom lock was broken, our 8 year old granddaughter got locked in. No cold water on main floor bathroom and basement bathroom tub cracked and felt like you were gonna fall through it. For the price we paid go elsewhere!!!!!!!

The overall was a good place to spend the weekend, as is mentioned in other reviews the lake access wasn’t proper for the handicapped and older people.
