Nice room for its value. Restful.

The room was clean. The proprietor/manager was friendly and hard working. The outside is not fancy, but functional. I didn't have the continental breakfast; choosing the recommended neighboring Dakota Farms (the "riser" breakfast) instead, which was great. Although on a Main Street, the area was quiet except for occasional sounds from the railroad yard across the street. But it wasn't bad. Location was great for me, as it was just a right, a left at the light, and 7 - 8 miles to Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park, and Bismarck is close by.

Would not recommend!

The outside appearance of the property was fine.

While I was checking in, the man excused himself, went outside, went into the room he was going to give us, removed a candle and took the candle to a different room. He then returned to continue checking us in. We go into the room, I sat on the bed and quickly realized the poor quality of the mattress and the smell in the room was intense and repulsive! My husband said let’s go, it was physically making him sick! It was awful. I had made the reservation last minute thus it was non-refundable so we didn’t even bother asking for a refund. All that mattered was getting away even though it cost us $140!!! If you have pets be prepared to have to walk your dogs between the hotel and the street to go behind the hotel to get to a grassy area.

Awesfor our 8th anniversary!

the spa tub was awesome for our sore muscles! The front desk gentleman went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Our TV was not hooked up correctly and wasn’t working..he came right over to assist us, and it was fixed in 5 minutes!

dated property, but updated beautifully very comfortable bed and quiet location.

We are coming back to visit family and we will definitely be staying at this hotel.

Cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. Even the parking lot was impeccably clean.

The weather wasn’t good, we had to stay a extra night.

I would stay here again.

We arrived late and only stayed one night. The room was clean and roomy. Bathroom was a good size. There is a restaurant next door that opens early. We went there for breakfast, very friendly staff. Good food!

Everything was fine. There was nothing I did not like about North Country Inn & Suites. I would recommend to the Staff and Housekeeping to audit every room to ensure the appliances and light fixtures are in working order.

Checking the bathroom, it at least seemed very clean so we made the best of a bad situation.

Sadly, nothing.

I could accept the run down exterior but....First thing that hits you is the smell. I tried to cover it up with Febreeze just so we could sleep. Worn and dingy towels and sheets. Worn out uncomfortable mattresses and flat pillows.

easy access from freeway. Staff very pleasant.

Not very clean. Dirty carpet and furniture surfaces. Room very cold when I got there, took several hours to warm up. No breakfast service other than coffee when I left at 7am.

Owner was very pleasant and friendly. Good location.

Didn't partake in breakfast.

Check in took quite a while. Fridge didn't work well. Couldn't get the Wi Fi password to work, had to use hotspot. Slight odor in the room.

Small older hotel, comes across more Mom & Pop operation. Clean.

Across street is the train depot. Travel with earplugs, no problem.

Comfortable, affordable, clean and friendly.

The room was bigger than expected. Cozy and comfortable. Next to the train tracks but I didn’t hear it inside the room.

The only thing was there was a bra hanging on the backside of the bathroom door that wasn’t mine but understandable how that could have been missed by the cleaning staff.

Exactly what you’d expect for the price, but the manager is so kind and gave us waters and candy and was just the sweetest! Also, he welcomes pets with a small fee!

Bring a fan during the hottest days if you have one.

Convenience of separate ground entrances. The size of the room and the amenities. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. We made a confirmed reservation through booking.com but when we arrived we were told they were full but fortunately for us had just had a cancellation.

The rooms, mattress , linens, furniture and carpet were all old and tired. All need refurbishing and to be replaced.

Give this place a try!

Super nice manager/owner. He waited up for us because we were coming in late. Our room had beds for 6!

The fold-out couch seemed like it hadn't been vacuumed.

The hotel was close to downtown where we had dinner and close to the highway.

I liked the queen beds - they are hard to find at an affordable price! Also liked the ability to park at the room's door.

Clean hotel

There's no frills about this place but it was clean and easy access to get into. Walking distance to restaurants. Owner is friendly. Rates were reasonable.

North Country Inn & Suites/Mandan is Clean and Cozy

I stayed in room 101 and it had a very comfortable king size bed, a flat screen TV, refrigerator, microwave oven, 4 chairs, small dining table, and dressers. The bathroom was not small and had a tub/shower. Everything was very clean. Mr. Patel was gracious and accommodating, offering me free bottles of water and cups of decaf coffee. There is a gas station, restaurant, and bowling alley less than 2 blocks away. I highly recommend this hotel when you are in the Bismarck/Mandan area.

No breakfast served. the manager/ owner was nice a accomadating.

no breakfast. I requested a room that didnt have any other guest around it but did not get that.
