Nice boardwalk to the beach. The local bike rental business delivered and picked up from the condo. With a paved bike path the entire length of the island the bikes were our transportation for several days. We enjoyed the "non chain" businesses. Ferry ride, Sea Lab aquarium and inland trip to Belligrath gardens added to the enjoyment.

This was my first time visiting Dauphin Island and I absolutely loved it!! It wasn’t too crowded or busy and this condo was close to all of the shops and restaurants. There aren’t a lot of restaurants there, but the ones that are there have good food. Be sure to stop at a Walmart before you get there because there isn’t one close. My condo was exactly as described and was perfect for me and my husband. Our check in was super easy, and we didn’t have any issues the whole time we were there. The view was nice and the short walk to the beach was great!! I will definitely be back!

The place was clean and had a great view of the ocean. My only suggestion is to send the email saying what you need to bring a few days before instead of the day you arrive. We had to make an unexpected stop to get more TP, trash bags, paper towels, and dish soap.

As always the room was very clean! I always love chatting with the staff during work hours when I do down and come back up from the beach!! The locals are always a delight!! I’ll be back down in December!! I honestly just cannot recommend the Island or these rentals enough!!!

The stay was very nice, the walk to the beach was a bit too long but we managed. We did have issues with getting into our room upon check-in but the manager came and rectified the issue within 20 minutes of calling. The only negative thing I will say was the television in the bedroom would not work- an odd screen kept popping up so we weren't able to watch anything on it.

This was our 3rd year at Daupine...our 2nd at the Inn!Tim the Manager goes out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. Jeff the maintenance man catered to our needs and even came the next day to make sure we "were ok" We love the property. Only complaint is we wished there were a table and chairs dining height on the deck so we could enjoy our meals outside!

Satisfied overall-5. Suggestion for Unit 408. Consider a handle on the patio entrance. The small finger hold is difficult to open for a child or woman. This may also be the reason not to close the door your air conditioning problem. They don't close the door because entry is difficult with finger hold.

My trip was a work trip and I did not get to enjoy the normal vacation experience. The best part of my stay was the accommodations as the Condo was quiet and easy to rest. However, the worst part about our stay was the lack of support by the Condo staff. There are 3 beds in this rental two of which are bunk beds, and there were 3 of us staying in this unit. When the ladder broke for the top bunk one of us was then relegated to the couch. After being reported it was not fixed. There was also a broken chair in the dining area, so be careful those things might still be broken for the next guest!!

I can’t express enough how impressed my family and I were with our condo rental at The Inn on Dauphin Island. Our unit was very clean and up to date and had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our stay. The kitchen was well stocked with all the tools you need (glassware, utensils, pots and pans, etc.) to make your own meals. Access to the beach was easy with the well-constructed wooden walkway. And the two pools were very clean and well-maintained. Dauphin Island itself is a wonderful little town with very low traffic and congestion and multiple ‘mom and pop’ restaurants where you can get fantastic local seafood and pretty much anything else you can imagine. In a nutshell everything was wonderful and we are already planning our return trip to The Inn next year!!

Great Stay at Beach
Very clean unit, management was fantastic and Jeff was awesome. The unit needs new living room furniture and the master bed needs to be replaced. Everything else was just super and the island is in great shape. Great for family vacation at the beach.

Outdated and smelly
When we entered the condo there was an awful odor inside. It smelled like it had just been opened from sitting all winter. Luckily I brought air freshener with us! The couch was so uncomfortable that we lifted the cushions to see if it was a sleeper. Apparently the springs were broken so there was a piece of plywood laying over what use to be the springs. The second night we went out to eat and when we returned, the code for the locked gate into the parking area had been changed and no one told us. We had to finally call the front desk and explain and then we finally got a new entry code. Overall stay was ok, but you would think if you're paying this much for a condo that at least the couch will be comfortable and it would smell clean??????????

Decided to make a last minute trip to DI and relax and soak up some Beach/Island Time. Found Inn 408 and booked during Mardi Gras week. Very few folks (and fish caught!) around which provided lots of beach space. It was great. The Inn provides a short walk to the Beach and 2 pools just out the back door. Great place, location and view (except oil rigs-but oh "well"). Would definitely stay again!

This was my husband's 1st trip to the Inn at Dauphin Island (my 2nd). He said he never wants to go anywhere else!! It was perfect! The condo was amazing, great view of the gorgeous beach, very well stocked with anything you need for cooking if that's your thing. Bed was very comfy, furniture nice. The staff at the front desk was great, very friendly! The best restaurant is Dock side/Pelican Pub. Great shrimp baskets and friendly staff. I would definitely give the Inn at Dauphin Island and the whole trip a thumbs up!!

Unfortunately we were only able to stay one night due to Hurricane Ida. We were told we would be issued a two night refund, just waiting on that to come through. The bunk beds were the most comfortable in the condo. The master bed was very uncomfortable as well as the pull out couch but the view made up for that. You have a water view from the front door and from the balcony. It’s not a terrible walk to the beach but we brought a cart to haul our things. I was a little concerned about what looked like mold around the ceiling vents. That should probably be addressed and fixed. There are a ton of rules so we ended up not using any dishes or the grill since we didn’t want to do a lot of cleaning on vacation. We just ate out for every meal or used paper plates. 7/10 chance we stay here again. We loved that it wasn’t as crowded as gulf shores or orange beach, but the thought of being stranded on an island due to water covering the roads or the bridge being closed is a little scary.

Perfect stay!
This one-bedroom condo was perfect for me and my husband. The extra 1/2 bath came in very handy as any married couple will agree! We had plenty of linens and the kitchen had everything we could possibly need and more.
The entire property was very clean. We loved having the pools in addition to such close access to the beach.
We didn't interact with the staff since we arrived after hours, but the instructions for the parking lot gate and lockbox with our keys were clear and worked perfectly.

Visited the island for a week with my family of four. Overall it was a wonderful experience . No crowds , friendly people , and a lovely beach view from the balcony . Most days were spent either at beach or pool . The sea lab was a nice afternoon activity . We also took the ferry for a day at Gulf Shores . We quickly regretted that decision as Gulf Shores was extremely crowded and there was traffic. We were happy campers to be able to return back to Daughin Island . If you are looking for a relaxing getaway , no fuss , fresh air and beach time , this is the place ! The check out procedures were more strict than what we are used to . Of course we understand that procedures should be in place , but requiring that all dishes be washed and put up felt a bit extreme. Having said that, we still had a wonderful time and would gladly return !

Overall stay was enjoyable. Views were amazing. Entire island is quiet, peaceful, laid back, and very family friendly. Unfortunately, Covid-related employment issues affected the island's restaurants just like everywhere else. We will definitely be back!
