Located in Keystone, this attractive condo for $70 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. This 1-bedroom + loft, 2-bathroom condo sleeps 7 with a queen bed, twin-over-queen bunk bed, and queen sleeper sofa. It features an updated master suite in the loft. West Keystone offers a peaceful mountain location, yet with the shuttle you're just minutes from all the resort has to offer. Flying Dutchman offers shared amenities including an outdoor heated pool and an indoor hot tub. The living area features a gas fireplace with a rustic mantel and floor-to-ceiling wood surround. There is a mounted flat screen TV with a sound bar and a queen-sized sleeper sofa. Additional sheets and blankets are in a closet. The vaulted ceilings are finished with modern wood paneling and give an open feel. Just off the living area you can walk out to the private deck that offers scenic views and a private grill. The kitchen is stocked with all the essential cookware and tableware to make a meal away from home. The dining area comfortably seats four people and there are four additional seats at the breakfast bar. The first of two full bathrooms is off the main living area and has a single sink vanity and a shower/tub combination. All bathrooms are stocked with towels and an initial supply of toiletries. The updated master suite is in the upstairs loft and features a queen-sized bed, a flat screen TV and vaulted ceilings. The en suite bathroom has a single sink vanity and a walk-in shower with tile surround and glass enclosure. The guest bedroom is on the main level and features a twin-over-queen bunk bed and access to the private deck. It was disappointing to be at this property the week of Christmas and not have any Christmas decorations. We were not given the appropriate key to use the hot tub. I notified the manager the first night hoping we would get a key and in the end they just said they did not have the key. The manager did not get back in a timely manner. The facility was clean.

The sink in the kitchen did not work from the start to the end during our stay. It was no big deal since our stay wasn’t that long but if it was it would have been nice to have it fixed right at check in. Other than that it was fairly clean and comfortable for a short stay

Everything was just like described.
The condo was clean and had everything you need. Loved the spiral staircase going up to the second bedroom. The location was very convenient and walking distance to hiking trails.
Short drive to town and Silverthorne. The pool was a nice size and sauna and hot tub a plus. Overall we were very happy with the condo and location and definitely would stay there again.

The individual condo unit is great. The condo building has a constant mildew or moldy smell to it. The pool and sauna facilities are average at best and the hot tub wasn't operational.

Stayed here for a boys trip in early April Skiing. The condo was in great condition. It's recently been updated and it was easy to get in and out of. Only issue was the hot tub at the condo did not work, I'm sure this will be fixed in the near future.

The condo is very nice, but there were some condition issues with electrical and USB sockets. The dishwasher handle was damaged and we were unable to open. The coffee maker had a broken top so the water did not all go through to the carafe. We notified the property management company about the electrical problems and dishwasher, but opted to not have them repaired during our stay. The unit is quiet except for the baseboard heaters. The unit was very clean. It would be nice to know what is supplied already in the condo (like type of coffee maker) so you can plan on what to bring with you. Parking is close. A map for unit location would be helpful.

The condo is nice but we feel we should mention the problems so they will actually get repaired for the next guest. We have notified the property manager in addition to listing them in this review.
It is quiet, we did not hear any neighbors during our stay.
The electrical and USB sockets need repair, they don't work or not attached to the wall properly. The one in the upstairs bath does not work at all so you won't be drying your hair in there.
The dishwasher wouldn't open. The latch was broken. The frying pans are old and warped. The coffee maker has a broken lid so the water doesn't all make it into the carafe.
The lighting is a little dark. It would be nice if the lights in the upstairs bedroom worked on the switch.
There is no room for luggage in the upstairs bedroom. The very large dresser isn't useful for people only staying a few nights. No place to put the extra pillows.
We agree with another reviewer that the baseboard heaters are very noisy (ear plugs will help you get a better night sleep). The unit could use a window covering for the top of the bedroom window so the full moon doesn't wake you.
A map showing the actual location of the unit and where the trash is instead of a generic notice from the property manager would be nice.
Not sure why we have to take out the trash if we have to be out of the unit by 10AM so housekeeping can clean it. Normally trash removal is a housekeeping job.

Our Thanksgiving tradition is to spend it with family and friends who own a unit in Flying Dutchman. Nice unit, however there are some things that could have improved our stay. As an Airbnb owner myself it would be helpful to have instructions on how to work the TVs available on the mantel. Also TVs in the bedrooms were not working until we discovered the batteries in the remotes were dead and there were no replacement batteries in the condo. A step on the staircase was loose (maintenance was notified) but could cause a fall on the stairs. Kitchen has lots of dishes, pots and pans, however only salt and pepper. It would be nice to have some vegetable spray, ketchup/mustard packets and tea (for those of us who do not drink coffee) available. Also some beach towels for the pool would be nice.

Keystone and the surrounding area was lovely, definitely will return. But we won’t be returning to this property. It was clean and nicely remodeled, but the property definitely showed its age in other ways. It made all kinds of creaking/dripping noises whenever the heater came on. It woke us up multiple times in the night. We all slept terribly. They advertise the property as sleeping 7 but there is NO WAY 7 people could sleep comfortably in this place. The couch that converts to a bed is the worst couch bed I’ve ever seen.it’s totally broken and would kill your back. My son took the mattress off and slept on the floor, but even the mattress was extremely uncomfortable. We also had issues with the downstairs toilet that wouldn’t always flush reliably. I reached out to the manager regarding the noisy heater and the toilet. I didn’t get a response until many hours later and was basically told I’d have to deal with it because it wasn’t an emergency and they were too short staffed. Not the best customer service. It’s definitely a cute and charming condo, but sadly I can’t recommend it :(

The downstairs toilet ran. The pull out couch was broken. I could not sit on the couch without sinking. The updates to the upstairs bedroom were terrific. The steps are very tight. It was difficult to get luggage up the stairs. The carpet in the hallways had a mildew smell.

Our family enjoyed our stay. The kids thought the spiral staircase and bunk beds were fun. The location was perfect for getting everywhere we wanted to during our stay.Reason for the 4 star rating is that the electrical in the place is screwy. Lights, tv, and a Wii systems we couldn't get working. In the upstairs master bedroom I'd step in a certain place and the lights and TV would shut off. Again, not huge issues but minor inconveniences.Also, as other reviewers mentioned, the people below love to smoke the devil's lettuce every evening. Went to open the deck doors and had to quickly shut them. So if you're hoping to enjoy the mountain air in the evening you may end up enjoying something else.

This unit was tucked away in a quiet wooded area, but still close to everything we wanted to do. We were able to take advantage of the full kitchen and gas grill to cook meals when we wanted to stay in. The unit was stylish and well-appointed, and the check-in/check-out process was a breeze. A nice updated older property. Very nice tall ceilings.
First off, the couch wasn't very comfortable. This would have been a deal breaker for me if I knew about it beforehand. After a day of outdoor activities it would be nice to relax on a nice big comfortable couch.
The two living room chairs were comfortable but their arms weren't padded enough and you could feel the wood frame underneath.
The interior has been updated to a more modern mountain look. It really helped with the appearance of this older property.
The hallway and stairs that lead to the unit are dirty and in need of painting. Fortunately, you don't have to spend too much time there.
The master bedroom is upstairs but seems smaller than the downstairs bedroom. There wasn't a lot of room to walk around in the master. If this were my place, I would put the bunk bed upstairs and make the downstairs bedroom the master.
Getting up and down the spiral stair wasn't our favorite thing to do.
The upstairs bedroom window is only partially covered in curtains and lets in tons of light during summer mornings. Had to buy a sleep mask for my wife so she could sleep in a bit.
The bathrooms are nice.
Overall it was a nice stay, but unfortunately it's not a place we will return to.

We knew the complex was older but the unit had some decent updates. Just a few things needed attention like stubborn kitchen drawers and a bathroom light fixture exposed above the shower becaues the cover was missing. Layout was great for our needs. Nothing we could have known necessarily beforehand, but someone in the unit below us (who was a resident and not a renter) smoked pot every evening, which obviously stank. We had to close all our windows and doors, which was a pain because we were trying to cool the condo off in the evening. Always like renting with SCMR because they're pricing and communication are good.
