About this house rental
Charming guest house walking distance to all that downtown St Augustine has to offer. Built in 2017, this one bedroom, one bath, 500 SF apartment is located above our garage to accommodate guests in their own private setting. This property is an easy walk to both Uptown and Downtown St Augustine attractions. There are many restaurants just a short walk away including River and Fort, Raintree, Juniper Market, Borillo s pizza, Luli s cupcakes, and Mojos BBQ just to name a few. This property includes a king size bed, 12 foot ceilings, ceiling fans, central heat & air, endless hot water on demand, 2 large screen smart TVs and high speed WIFI (download speed over 400mbps). Enjoy your own private entry to this upstairs apartment (approx 20 steps) with reserved, on site parking. This property does not have cable TV. The smart TVs have antenna reception which provides a hi def picture and receives all the major networks. The kitchen does not include a range. There is a built in microwave, toaster oven and a griddle. Downtown St. Augustine is best navigated on foot. Bicycles are not recommended as there are no safe provisions made for them on the roads or sidewalks. Come stay at our private St. Augustine get away!

The uptown shack was more than we could’ve hoped for. The online listing and actually walking in the from door was beyond our expectations. Location was wonderful and made it easy to walk everywhere. We were accommodated more than we could imagine from wireless chargers, drinks and snacks, to basic necessities that can be forgotten at home. The stay made our honeymoon that much more special.

The apartment was clean, quiet, well-appointed, and lovely. It was near to downtown St Augustine, within walking distance to many great restaurants and shops.

Melody and Ali’s place is top notch. Simple check in process. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a personalized welcome sign and special treat. The actual home is stunning. They thought of everything. The place had robes, refreshments, massive TVs, cordless phone chargers on the nightstands, and even any toiletries you could have forgotten! The uptown shack is more than I could have imagined. It’s a perfect distance from the historic district as well. We walked each evening and didn’t have any troubles. Overall, a perfect place to stay! I hope to be back one day.

Uptown Shack was beautifully decorated, clean, and an easy walk to old-towne. Owner was great and provided so many little extras. Would love to stay here again on our next visit!

Go say I loved our stay, is an understatement!!! The check in process was seamless and so was check out! Our fridge was stocked, we had fresh baked cookies, and when we ordered Pizza to be delivered on a rainy night, our host walked up to our unit!
The condo amenities and supplies, left us wanting for nothing! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU for everything!!!

My husband and I would give this more than 5 stars if we could! It was incredibly clean, beautifully decorated, well maintained, comfortable bed and the hosts go above and beyond! They think of everything you can possibly need and it was so nice not to have to run to the store the minute we got there to get essentials! It is close to everything walking or driving and yet so quiet and peaceful. Melody was so friendly and easy to book with. Check in/out were easy with no long to do lists. We will absolutely stay here again!

Uptown shack is exactly as advertised, fantastic finishes inside the apartment, very clean, comfortable bed and well appointed kitchen and bathroom.
It’s an easy10 minute walk into town and there are shops and cafes close by.
It’s a perfect spot for a couple to enjoy the town for a few days.

My wife and I just got married, and we decided to make our stay here for our “mini-moon”. Melody and Ali made sure we had a great stay as newlyweds by being very hospitable. They provided us with complimentary presecco, snacks and drinks. The house had whatever we needed and was a comfortable stay to make our first married days special.

This place is fantastic! It's a perfect location to visit all the St. Augustine sites. Décor is nice and clean and new. It was stocked with anything we might need. Host was great. Highly recommend the 'Shack'

Our stay at the Uptown Shack did not disappoint. Melody was a great host and had everything ready for us when we arrived. The unit was clean and even stocked with snacks and beverages! As advertised, historic downtown St. Augustine was walking distance away. If we are ever in St. Augustine again, we would definitely return to the Uptown Shack!

Couldn't be happier with our pick for our 10 year anniversary! Apartment was easy to find, very clean and up to date and stocked well enough for everything we needed. Upon entering there was a personalized welcome message congratulating us. Was really nice to see. Melody was very nice as well. Next time I am in St. Augustine will definitely be checking availability here again!

What a wonderful place to stay. Nestled in a quite neighborhood just outside of town, the Uptown Cottage was perfect for our weekend getaway. Very clean , had everything we needed, easy to find, and Melody and Ali were perfect hosts. We will definitely be rebooking the Uptown Cottage on our next trip to St Augustine.

This was our first experience with VRBO, and I think it will be hard to beat our wonderful stay at Ali & Melody’s Uptown Shack! They are gracious hosts who responded quickly to all questions and welcomed us warmly. The “shack” is anything but a shack- beautifully decorated with amenities such as robes, coffee, and even some snacks provided! It’s conveniently located to historic St. Augustine and served as a great “base” for our stay. Thank you, Ali & Melody, for a great stay! We are already looking forward to our next visit!

This is a lovely apartment. It is within walking distance of the historic district and restaurants. They provided a book of local eateries, sites, and history of the St. Augustine. That was just one of the special touches included and appreciated.
This is a quiet, very comfortable location. We highly recommend staying here. We knew Melody and Ali were available if needed.

This was our first visit to St. Augustine. This "Uptown" property turned out to be a great place for us. Very convenient to all areas. Very clean and quiet and comfortable. Melody was a great help to us with a couple of questions that we had.

This place was absolutely gorgeous! Newly built, high ceilings, fun colors. Impeccable quality and details. Only a few blocks from the St Augustine gate.

We loved this apartment that was just the right size for the two of us and was decorated in a modern beachy feel. It was walking distance to a lot of attractions and restaurants and had free parking for our truck. It included many complimentary items such as wine, chocolates, snacks, and use of their beach towels.

The Uptown Shack is just the perfect place to
navigate sightseeing St. Augustine and surrounding areas. And the quiet, peaceful refuge to come back to at the end of the day. It’s clean, comfortable and Melody and Ali are super people to have as landlords.

Clean contemporary apartment in quiet friendly neighborhood .
Hosts went above and beyond to anticipate a travelers needs by providing variety of drinks snacks and convenience items for our use. Bathroom w deep tub/ shower - bed firm and comfortable! Kitchen w coffee maker , microwave and fridge was spacious . Perfect for our 4day stay!

This property is terrific. Clean, great location, very comfortable king bed, and within walking distance to most everything you want to see in the historic village. This property had amenities galore..from bottled water to sweets at your bedside. They were gracious with a free ice cream coupon, to a bottle of wine if you needed one in the frig. Attention to detail and comfort at your best. Highly recommend….

My wife and I love St. Augustine and the “uptown shack” was just wonderful. This property is exactly as listed and is clean and bright and quiet. Perfect for people that love the Historic district. We parked our car and walked everywhere and did so many activities. We look forward to our return. Melody and Ali thanks again!

We loved everything about this property - location, accommodations, owners. The guest house was walkable to everything in historic St. Augustine. We never had to use our car. Uptown Shack was immaculately maintained and so welcoming. Check in was simple and communication with the owners was great. We would definitely stay again.
