About this cottage rental
Situated in Gulfport, this attractive cottage for $154 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Sleepy Seahorsezzz at Beachrelaxmore is across the street from the beach of Boca Ciega Bay with view from outdoor private patio with gas grille. Walking right over to public transport, art and culture, the city center, parks, great restaurants, fun bars. You’ll love taking a very short walk right down to street to all the restaurants, shops, music, karaoke, galleries and activities. The ambiance, the neighborhood, the outdoors space. Great for couples, Honeymooners, solo adventurers. For security purposes, we have "outdoor only" front and back of home monitoring for security and storm/hurricane purposes. The historic Gulfport Casino is an event venue, If you like gambling, check out the Hard Rock Casino, it’s only 37 minutes away. Dogs under 35 lbs. are considered with restrictions and a pet cleaning fee. Sorry, but absolutely no kitty cats allowed. Also, No Smoking inside. The bedroom has a queen bed, tv. and there is a loveseat sofa and chair with ottoman and a recliner. If you have specialty shows you like to keep up with, Netflix, etc., we suggest bringing your own fire-stick. Beach towels, cooler and beach chairs are even included. Sleepy Seahorsezzz is for you. There is also a shared laundry on property. You have your own private patio area with gas grille. There is also a large additional shared private courtyard with larger gas grille. This one bedroom house is very cute and the perfect place for a couple or small family! It is conveniently located within a short walk or bike ride to the beach, pier, restaurants, and ice cream shops. Sleepy Seahorsezzz house is centrally located for a short drive to Treasure Island, St. Pete Beach, and access to I-275.
The owner, Kelly, ensured our stay was welcoming, comfortable, and when I did need to reach out to her she immediately responded. I was moving my first born into college when we stayed here and the hospitality of Kelly along with the all of the conveniences of this house, ensured my downtime was exactly that--relaxing downtime filled with comfort, beauty, and close proximity to essentials.

Great cozy place. They had every thing that you could need. Beach chairs extra towels and linens. The host were amazing at getting back with you quickly if you had any questions or issues. The kitchen and bathroom were amazing and very clean. Great view of of the Bay. Walking distance to lots of restaurants and shops. Very private and quiet. The only thing that could be misleading is that the description said that it was close to the beach. Yes there is a man made beach on the bay but people may think that it’s an actual beach. Over all it was amazing and I would absolutely stay there again. The hosts were very thoughtful and even gave us a gift bag with little special gifts and even a couple of dog toys for our dogs. Great place 10 out of 10!!!!

Everything we needed was there at the property. I felt like it was our home at the beach. Location was very convenient, right across from Gulfport beach. Walking distance to great restaurants with really good food. Kelly was great with info of area. Would recommend this place. It was a very relaxing stay for us. We hope to be back next year.

The Sleepy Seahorse was an awesome place to stay for our trip to the Tampa Saint Pete area. Kelly and Keith provided everything we needed with every detail attended to and then some. The location was perfect and allowed us easy access to wonderful area beaches and the very cool town of Gulfport with plenty of restaurants and shops to explore. We brought our 2 chihuahuas and it was great for them as well. Nice area to walk the pups. Very dog friendly town!

This cottage is in a great position to walk to the beach, shops and bars. The hosts were amazing, very easy to communicate with and responsive. The Kitchen is well stocked and a great size. Comfortable living area and nice outside patio. Would recommend without hesitation.

My son and I had a great stay while we were in town visiting Eckerd College. Great location near restaurants, cute shops and beach without the overwhelmingly touristy feeling of St. Pete's. Loved that all beach gear was there- towels, chairs, umbrella even coolers. We will definitely be back! Thanks for a great stay. 🐬🏖🌞

We rented a car from the airport, but we hardly used it at all because all the amenities were within walkable distance. Had the best time, best food, attended the Tuesday Market Street, great music .. overall a wonderful trip my daughter & I enjoyed and will remember forever!

We loved our stay. Very comfortable, well equipped and charming. Ten minute walk to the center of town yet far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. Wonderful shower! Hosts are friendly and available. Nice kitchen, comfy bed, two TVs. We would definitely come back.

My boyfriend and I spent 4 days in Gulfport at the Sleepy Seahorsezzz in March 2023. Here’s how it went:
- We loved the beach access and short three block walk to the charming little city of Gulfport (where there is no less than a handful of fun bars and another handful of quality restaurants).
- We were still close to the major attractions and it took only a $17.00 Uber over to John’s pass, Madeira beach, and walked all the way from Jimmy B’s beach bar down to the Don Casear. So lovely.
- It was a $40.00 Uber to watch the Phillies spring training game. And about the same to the airport. We had no regrets for not renting a car because the Ubers were excellent and the driver’s gave us a ton of tips for exploring.
- Kelly and her team went above and beyond what we could have hoped for. The space was clean and well outfitted with more than just the basics. We had to reschedule our original stay due to the hurricane that hit Ft Myers last Fall. She worked with us on a new date, and we couldn’t have asked for anything better. A++
A couple notes if you are considering this rental:
- It will comfortably accommodate only 2 or 3 people.
- There are nicer beaches than Gulfport nearby but we enjoyed the quaint little area and also spent some time at the larger beaches.
- Check out the Gulfport brewery for local pours, A Friend Who Bakes for a sweet treat, and Gulfport brew for a better than decent cup of coffee or fresh pressed juices.
We would do it all again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much for a great VRBO.

This cozy cottage is located right across the street from the beach and just a few blocks from Beach Avenue where all the shops and restaurants are. Kelly is an amazing host and had everything we needed including a gift bag. Would highly recommend this location, location, location!

This cottage was perfect for us. Very well equipped with everything we needed and more. Lots of extra touches to make you feel at home. The kitchen was better equipped than our kitchen at home. The hosts were available to help any time we needed anything. The location was excellent. Many shops and restaurants in walking distance with the beach and park right across the street. I felt very safe any time of the day or night walking our dog in this neighborhood. The town is very pet friendly. I want to thank Kelly and Keith for sharing this beautiful cottage and hope to return.

We were pleasantly surprised. The cottage was roomy, comfortable, great location, clean, AC/Heat work fine, very dog friendly and the host was very easy to get ahold. We did not have any issues with the place except the prior renter switched the HDM1 cable on the back of the TV and I had to contact owner for that. He had me going in minutes. We loved the place, walking with our dogs was very dog friendly, sidewalks on main roads, close to numerous parks and a lot of great restaurants. We highly recommend for a couple, and we will be back. It is a very friendly place. We have been going to the Clearwater area for over 50 years and did now this place existed. Thank goodness for VRBO.

We LOVED staying in this perfect cottage for our first trip to Gulfport! The unit is larger than I expected, extremely comfortable, clean and perfectly located. Keith & Kelly communicated with us to make sure we had everything we needed and more! We are planning to go back to the area again and know there’s no possibility of finding a more perfect unit, location & hosts! Thanks again!!
