We liked the centralized location, the place was relatively clean but many large stains all over the carpet. The hot tub was broken on arrival, on the second day we had a technician come out, said he would return 15 mins later, never did. No follow up from the property managers. Very disappointed about that. The fire pit was a shared set up with the other attached townhouses, so not private.

In general, the property was very comfortable-spacious bedrooms & baths, decent deck (nice view but pretty narrow so our party of 6 was about all it could handle) & hot tub (which seemed very clean, a must), easy access to the water, which is very clear. We had our 2 dogs with us, which was a big factor in selecting this property. The fact that pets are allowed definitely shows here in the numerous stains on the carpeted areas. Hard for me to imagine why ppl with pets don't clean up better after them. Even tho our dogs are well-trained, I always take carpet cleaner with me just in case... If that bothers you, this property would not be for you. In general, I think the property would benefit from a thorough, deep cleaning. It was clean enough to stay there, but not up to the standards of other properties we've stayed at. For example, when we opened windows to take advantage of the mild weather, there was a significant layer of dust on the top frame of all the windows. When I cleaned up some spilled water on the kitchen floor the 1st night, the paper towel came away VERY dirty. There were a couple of broken plastic Adirondack chairs just thrown on the sloping yard to the water. The downstairs couch was almost unusable, the springs were so broken down. The projection TV did not work well & there weren't good instructions on how to trouble-shoot so we weren't really able to make much use of it. Others commented on a kitchen that wasn't well-supplied; we did not find that to be the case. When we get together like this, we cook most of our meals, sometimes elaborate ones. We did not lack for any utensils/pots/pans w/the exception of a deep pot for cooking mussels - but we don't expect kitchens to have that, so we bring our own. We LOVED the giant dining room table for eating & game playing & the fireplace nearby. Also having 1 bedroom/bath on the main floor was so helpful for the guest in a wheelchair. Communications w/the rental agency weren't great. I had to send multiple emails just to get a response on the type of grill. The 1st night we felt like we were in a sauna, despite turning the temp down. The next morning, we called first thing but it took all day to get someone out. Eventually found that it was a quick fix, but not intuitive. Again, no detailed instructions for use. All-in-all, would we stay there again? Probably. Is it the best property we've stayed at? No. The property itself is very nice & would really benefit from some TLC.
