This pet-friendly lakeside cabin at Lake Wateree is the perfect place to reconnect as a couple or family. With very few neighbors, a private dock, and trees all around, you'll enjoy quiet seclusion during your stay. A large screened porch and deck offer lots of space to spread out for meals, reading, or observing wildlife. Two bedrooms and one bathroom comfortably accommodate up to four travelers. The kitchen is well-equipped to include full-size refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, pots, pans, crock pot, blender, dishes, flatware, and more. The house has internet; smart TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Disney+; a Playstation; plus a small movie library and video games for your entertainment. Bring your boat or kayaks to enjoy the lake; or picnic, swim, and fish at the dock. The driveway provides ample parking for your boat trailer. This lakeside retreat is only 20 minutes off of I-77, between Columbia and Charlotte. It has a rural setting with the convenience of nearby Wateree State Park. Book your stay and start looking forward to creating great memories at Lake Wateree! ***PLEASE NOTE:*** Duke Energy has drawn down the lake for a construction project. We expect our dock to be dry for the duration of 2023. You will be able to beach your boat near the dock and tie it up, but you will not be able to pull all the way up to the dock. This does not affect your ability to kayak or otherwise use the dock.

We loved the cottage. Just perfect. The screened in porch was my favorite. We watched the wild life and enjoyed a hot beverage. The cottage was clean everything we needed was there. We will be visiting again.

The cabin was beautiful but the pictures need to be updated can't fish from doc grass is shoulder high around dock cannot get boat in dock or fish from the dock very cozy cabin very clean pictures need to be updated of the lake and not recommended for someone who wants to fish from the dock or both your duck or swim

Stayed 4 nights while visiting a friend. Very nice lakeside cabin. Very Clean and Comfortable, with a nice kitchen. Would stay again if we ever get back to SC.

Most of the time it was my husband and I. Our daughter came over some, they live in Ridgeway. Would love to use this place again, a spot to stay near her family but not stay with them. perfect. loved it. Will rent again.

We loved our stay at the Lake house! The house was so nice and cozy! It was everything we hoped for. The owners were so nice and even let us check in an hour early with no issues since we got into town early. The house is so clean and has anything you need for your trip. The owners even leave little things around for you that make you feel so welcome like a little welcome sign in the kitchen when you walk in, a basket in the bathroom with necessities in case you forgot anything, and have things all in the kitchen for you to use that you may have forgotten at home. It was a wonderful place. The screened in porch was our favorite part, it was so relaxing to sit and look out at the water. The water is down right now, which made having the boat a little more difficult but not impossible. We were still able to put in at the boat ramp up the road and bank it in front of the house so it was fine. I would still choose this house again even with the water down simply because of how wondeful it is and how nice and thoughtful the owners were. We will definitely book again for our next anniversary!

This is a beautiful spot and the VRBO listing is spot on! The cottage and property were exactly what we expected, very clean and beautiful! We had a very relaxing time, which we needed. This was a great getaway!

We loved the Lake House. This was our first time at Lake Wateree. It is now our favorite. We loved the screen porch! The fireplace area was great with all the lighting!

Property was very nice, peaceful and clean. We rented kayaks and had a great time on the water. We could see our neighbors, but the property felt very private. Our dog had the best time swimming and kayaking with us! We would definitely stay again.

Peaceful and relaxing
This house was perfect for my little family of 4 + dog getaway. My expectations were exceeded with how well the house was stocked for our convenience. The property was private and dock was perfect for our boat (21ft center console), power outlet to charge the trolling motor. The screened in porch was amazing for lounging, eating, playing, you name it, so many details thought of like basic necessities in the kitchen for cooking, kindling for the wood stove (it was summer but I noticed), basket full of doggy waste bags and dog blanket, travel size shampoo and such in the bathroom - it was also extremely clean. We cannot wait to return!
Following our visit we realized we left the cover to our pack n play. The host went out of her way to return it to us - its not that the item was so important, but the fact she did that for us. I can't recommend this property enough!
Tip on the boat ramp: only use for canoe or kayak. Launch anything bigger at the public ramp about 2-4 minutes by water around the corner. Easy peasy.

It was nice looking into the cove. One has to walk out onto the dock in order to see the big water views which was beautiful. There was privacy, but not totally isolated. Remember to pack up well with food because the grocery store must have been 10 miles away. There was a local convenient store very close by, but at the time the selection was limited. Overall a very enjoyable trip.

We truly enjoyed our stay at The Lake House. The screened in porch with ceiling fans was truly the best place to eat and to just sit and watch birds, squirrels, a hawk, geese flying in. Our grandson loves to fish and he did catch two good size bass off the dock. The house is well equipped with everything that we needed. Being from the mountains of North Carolina, internet connection is a challenge. So, it was nice to find movies to watch and to live stream from our phones. These two old people learned a few things! Lol We are property owners in the mountains and also rent our property out through Vrbo. We learned a few good things from staying here. Ideas for our own property. Week at the Lake
Quiet week spent at this lake house. Very nice stay and next time we would rent a boat as the boat ramp on the property is great for lake access. Great communication with the owner and would recommend this house and we look forward to staying there again in the future.

The property is at the rear of a small creek but had plenty of water with the lake at a 96.8’ level along with providing great shelter for our boat while tied up. The lake itself was very easy to navigate and the fishing was on fire for us.
If you are coming to relax you don’t need much beyond beverages, groceries, clothes. If you bring a boat and fish a lot you need a 100’ extension cord for charging your batteries at the end of the dock and if you like to wash the boat down bring two 100’ water hoses to attach to the house hose.
Dutchman Creek Marina (closed on Tuesday) was nice and the State Park store had some interesting things and cheaper dockside fuel.
