About this house rental
Situated in Lake Erie, this attractive house for $135 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. This charming century home offers enough beds to sleep six; two bedrooms on the second floor each with a queen bed and a tv dvd combo and enough room for a pack and play (for a little one); also, a twin bed in a loft area; lastly, a third bedroom on the main floor with a twin bed. You'll find this home very roomy and comfortable. It has a nice dinning room, living room with Internet,TV with over 40 local channels and DVD player and a selection of DVDs ,some books and games with a couch and a love seat, one bathroom, a laundry room complete with iron and ironing board,and a full kitchen with microwave, toaster, coffeemaker and all the other tools to make a home cooked meal. The home is also furnished with clean linens, towels, and paper products to start you off. The front porch features two comfortable rocking chairs to rock away the stress, read a good book or plan your next adventure. In the back yard there is a charcoal grill and two Adirondack chairs and a fire pit. If you don't want to cook on your vacation there are plenty of delicious restaurants to choose from: Joey's Italian, Square Bistro, Element 41,Hayashi Mayple, Chardon Buckeye Chocolate Cafe’, Beans Coffee Shop, ChardonTavern&Grill,Cleats Sports Bar, NOCE Gourmet Pizza, El Patron Mexican, China House, Spinners Old Time Restaurant to start, and of course the traditional fast foods. There is so much to do here in Chardon, also known as maple country. We have putt-putt golf, bowling, and a walking and biking trail that runs from Middlefield to Lake Erie that is only 1000 ft away from house. We do have bicycles for you to use per request. Chardon square also offers a farmers market on Fridays (seasonal), art shows, craft shows, classic car shows, live entertainment, and of course the Geauga County Maple Festival in spring. In nearby Burton we have the county fairgrounds, which hosts the Geauga County Fair (Labor Day weekend) and two antique shows (spring and fall). Middlefield is the center for Amish culture featuring artisanal cheese and crafts. In nearby Lake County, we have The Holden Arboretum, Lake Metro park system, and Kirtland Temple and village that has a strawberry festival in the spring. Ashtabula to the east hosts a large amount of wineries, antiques, and covered bridges The home is located 35 miles east of downtown Cleveland, Ohio, a city which has a great many things to offer. Visit at your leisure Cleveland Cultural Gardens along MLK Blvd, Rockefeller Greenhouse and park, University Circle, Crawford Auto and many more museums. The Playhouse Square is second only to New York , not to be missed is the famous Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. For sports enthusiasts we have the Indians, the Browns, and the Cavs. East 4th is known for its bar scene and high end restaurants.

This was our 2nd time staying at this home. Location is great and it works out so well for us when visiting our family who lives in and around the Chardon area. It's nice too bc after a long day of driving all of our Ohio family can come to us with their families and we can order in, cook ourselves and while the house is full of family, it fits us all and everyone has a great time being able to be together.

Owners have outdone themselves yet again. We enjoy staying at this rental when in town with family. The location is incredible and safe. Everything you need is close by: walking/running paths, grocery stores, restaurants and fast food, an accommodating gym within walking distance, a quaint downtown just a quarter mile up the street and even a Starbucks. The home is well kept, very clean, easily accessible. It’s our prime choice when in town and will be for many trips to come. I enjoyed running into the owner as we packed to leave. She was kindhearted and genuinely cares about the property, her residents/vacationers and it shows. Thank you again. See you on down the road!

My family of 6 enjoyed this location very much and all the beds were very comfortable!
My husband is 6’4” and was able to fit within the footboard and headboard of the bed frames!
Linens were also some of the cleanest I’ve stayed on in a rental. The home was very clean.
We didn’t cook anything (except in the microwave) but there are pots and pans and utensils available. The TV and movie selection were great!
Communication with the owners was very good as well!
Another one of my favorites parts was the bikes (and helmets) available to us. Five of us rode down a pedestrian&bike trail through the woods and over a covered bridge. There is an air pump on-site if needed.
Parking was easy, spacious (enough for two cars), and clearly marked on the driveway. Location is close enough to walk to the Chardon Square, Starbucks, and places to eat.
We’ll be returning next time we are in the area!

Great location for our trip back home to see family and friends. It’s so nice to have our own place as a home base! The property is in a perfect location near the square for shopping and dining. Hosts are super responsive and the house is clean and cozy. Will definitely stay again!

We stayed here for the Maple Festival! This was the perfect choice. We were within walking distance of the square, which was perfect as we decided to come back to the house for a bit to hang out and then went back to the festival. The house was well stocked with items like toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent, linens, towels, etc, which was nice as I've stayed other places and had to go purchase some of these things. The check in and check out process was extremely easy. We definitely plan on staying here again in the future!

It was fantastic. The house was beautiful, and the neighborhood was great. Absolutely no problems what so ever with the house. The owners were great and we enjoyed our chat with them and their pups. Thanks for helping us have a fabulous weekend. We will definitely be back.

This immaculate century home has been totally updated, but is still full of charm. Comfortable and spacious living areas, beautifully furnished bedrooms, and a well-equipped kitchen all contribute to a wonderful experience. Very caring property owners are accessible and committed to a very high level of cleanliness, and they have provided every possible amenity to make your stay wonderful. We will definitely be back. The beds and couches were comfortable, the entire house was spotless, the kitchen was well-supplied, and everything was labeled, which we found very helpful. The location is close to a bike trail and to the town center.

I stayed at this property for 3 nights, last minute, to be able to have quick access to some areas around Chardon and it could not have worked out any better.
The property is exactly as pictured and described. The owners/property managers had great communication and checking in was exactly as communicated.
I found it to be easy walking distance to the Chardon Square, grocery stores, drug stores, and multiple other business around the house.
I hope to bring my family back here sometime to see Chardon.

As a Chardon native transplanted in NY we come back to visit family often. Family lives between Chardon and Mentor/Painesville. The location is perfect, not only get to all family, but very convenient with all the great new amenities in town now. The property is walkable to almost everything in town and such a treat to be able to see my old home town.
The home is very cozy and welcoming with a beautiful look on the outside and when you come inside it has everything you would ever need to live, let alone be on vacation. The property and home is obviously kept up with a lot of love and care. Everything was thought of and you just feel safe and comfortable. We can’t wait to return.
